Title: Instead of an upkeep...
Post by: Eveneska on January 08, 2011, 10:35:17 pm
Hmm...I was thinking that what if instead of an upkeep, there was just a greater penalty to WPF for the weight of armor. I think we would see a lot less tincans and heavy armor archers which I believe was the goal of upkeep. What are other people's thoughts on this.

Upkeep really doesn't bother me now that I got the hang of it. But I wouldn't might if it goes away.

Heavy armored archers? What game do you play?

I think upkeep works perfectly, if you are worried about your gold simply play some round with an equipment of about 20k... you'll earn gold fast :D

Overall, I think upkeep was a good thing. I'm just lazy and hate having to continually switch back and forth between armor sets.  :D I was just thinking if there was a way to reach the same result.

Another thought though would be able to set multiple equipment sets and to be able to switch between them.

Should already do this in-between rounds if you're that concerned about it.

Anyways I think the upkeep system is perfect.  Here's a link to some data collections between different players.
