God damn, what a surprise! SpaceEngineers is a brilliant game and this could be the strong pretendent for the very best game in medieval sim genre.

Huge +1 for you Vibe, was being kinda sad because it seems Melee is on hold and Bannerlord is being developed at equally slow pace.

yes you can, they have assault rifles for your engineer to carry, and then everything else is huge weapons that are built either on to your base or placed on ships you built.  Anything from warheads, since you can build missiles, to smaller systems like gatling guns and missile launchers.

I wonder how this can be translated into medival engineer.
katapult war? or a 1v1 with swords at the end?
or will there be troops to use the equipment and defend(or assault ) the walls?

Space Engineers is an awesome game (and still in alpha!), so I have high hopes for this, even though I think there's less options for building interesting contraptions as in Space Engineers if they want to keep it realistic and medieval.

Also some stuff from ME that might be added to SE as well:
Quote
Compound blocks – multiple blocks being positioned into one grid cell; this will allow better ship designs
Mechanical blocks
Auto-generated details for some blocks (e.g. roof endings in Medieval Engineers, armor edges in Space Engineers)
Voxel hand – a tool for modifying terrains (asteroids); you can alter shape and material
Structural integrity
Natural landscape
Procedural terrain generator (this is why we were able to easily add procedural asteroids to Space Engineers)
DirectX 11 (we decided to add PBR - Physically Based Rendering)

Any info about possible combat?

Don't expect much on the combat part, to be honest. If it's anything like Space Engineers (which it definitely looks like), big focus will be on the engineering/building rather than combat.

Will it actually be a game in some way or just building stuff for the sake of building stuff? All I see at first glance is a map editor.

It looks impressive but I was never a fan of minecraft personally. I would rather just learn how to use maya or something.

Space Engineers has a 'survival' mode, where you need to scout asteroids and gather ore, refine it, assemble parts, craft, weld, dissasemble/grind. Then you also have NPC spaceships that you can assault, meteors that can hit your base that you need to build defense for and in multiplayer you can make player factions and combat it out with other players. I reckon something similar will be in Medieval Engineers, obviously in medieval times appropriate. But I'm pretty sure the emphasys will be on building.

according to latest game industry development i guess zombie horde will spawn every 24 hours to attack your castles.

It's good to see you. This game looks promising, as a natural child of castle defense.

Too bad there's only so much you can realistically do in a medieval engineering game.

Yeah this is what worries me the most. You can do a whole lot more in Space Engineers.

Waiting for a Gloria Victis o Lif MMo final versions, i pass this; i don't see any logic in the trailer itself, 2 lonely guys building a castle and sige machines and then what? It's not for me.
