Title: "Sweet Spot" for body armor on a 2Hander
Post by: Breidr on December 02, 2014, 04:16:57 am
Started an alt recently and got my hands on a MW Longsword.  Joined Krems because is best clan.

I'm looking to invest in some European style armors to match, but I'm not sure just how much is too much.  I would prefer something heraldic, but with so many choices, what's a good loom?  Suggestions on gloves, boots, and helm also appreciated.

you like light, medium or heavy armor?

Keep your money after a buy in mind, because upkeep can be a bitch sometimes :)

Go for a body armour between 46 and 49. These armours are simple the best for any melee build.
The armour rating is high enough and it won't really make a huge difference if you go for heavier armours plus the weight is not to bad especially assuming that you have at least 6 or 7 athletics.

Though it really is sad that there is an armour group that is so superior to everything else :(

Literally can't say anything about that when you do not provide your build. Game is pretty balanced, anything not extreme has the potential to work really.

Go for a body armour between 46 and 49. These armours are simple the best for any melee build.
What even makes you say that except a huge personal bias? I find that you can make a case for anything between 45 and 70, completely depending on your playstyle, athlethics, ironflesh and weapon length and speed. I personally hate 45 unless I am playing something that benefits hugely from speed, my personal average is probably about 60 where I perform best. You play a lone wolf style at the edges of the battle, 46 armour sucks for everyone that prefers a more frontline approach.

Vaegir War Mask + Kuyak

Vaegir is an ethnic slur.  Rus is the proper term.

Light or Heavy?

Irrelevant.
