Those are great! Didn't know about that site! Could you make one with 640 pixels width? Also it can't be bigger than 10mb (requirement).
Because we really need someone who could take care of graphics stuff like this on the team :D we don't have anyone with any sort of skills/knowledge to quickly fix good working gifs, good working icons/images and so on.

We're practically 2 guys doing everything in regards to the updates, and in order to post in a timely fashion (wanted combat out 3 days ago) stuff like will happen. I simply don't have the time to cover all angles.

Same, but I fell over this http://www.video-gif-converter.com/ (http://www.video-gif-converter.com/) :D worked well for the KS gifs.
Not so well here, but it's because the video I had for making the gif had lightning speed instead of the nice slow lots of frames speed you see in the YouTube video.

The ideal is to export a video into Photoshop, and then have photoshop make the GIF for you, but it's a tedious task and I end up using like 20/30 minutes on all these little things all the time which pushes the time schedule too far :(

If anyone can make a good 640x width gif showcasing that mouse input control part please post it here and I'll edit it into the big Kickstarter presentation!

Also any graphics peeps feel free to step up (send me a PM if you're interested) :P

Chase = Duel POV
Tor = Duel challenger
Thomek = Camera (and generally making the whole video)

Looks pretty good. I know its WIP and still alpha, just thought I'd make some comments about what I saw from a semi devil's advocate viewpoint...I didn't really see much tricking/feinting/footwork/holds or advanced kind of play you see in cRPG. I only really counted one feint, and it was a feint that didn't change attack direction. What would have been a chamber didn't really lead to anything. Not saying that it should, but things like chambers make the combat more interesting. Things similar to that might spice up the gameplay (within the actual swinging/stabbing system though, not with disables like nudges/kicks etc). I guess if Chase had played this as much as cRPG we might see a more interesting duel

We were told we had about 15 seconds for the duel footage, so we couldn't fit much in. So me and Tor scripted a little sequence to try and show everything. Starting with a cool looking charge at the beginning, followed by  several normal attacks so the narrator could talk through the basics, then 3 feints and a chamber to finish. Would be nice if we could do an extended duel as we felt we could have shown more, but for a quick glimpse at gameplay we thought it was a good representation.

I think the fact that not a lot is shown in the duel isn't anyone's fault, it's just that the game isn't finished so cool stuff isn't really possible at this stage.

We've all played the pre-alpha, there's not much you can do in terms of advanced play, so the duelists did a pretty good job.

More interesting cinematography would have been nice though. No offense, Thomek, but I don't get the feeling you put a lot into trying to make it exciting.

We'll we got criticized for cutting too much in the KS vid. Wanted to make it real and true.. :)

The upper left vid during dueling is partly there because mp clients couldnt turn off server messages that it's hiding..

So yeah.. goal wasn't "exiting" but just to show and explain.

Also, you don't know about effort.
For this it took duelers and us couple of days to get everything working smoothly, just to record it. Add that pm's, organization, switching of duelers etc. Then Ozin set up the arena in a more interesting location, then Mark did a few version of the recording, while I'm re-editing and cleaning sound etc. Back and forth at least 4-5 times. Then I spend some hours making the mouse-animation. Cleaning the sound one final time..

Sometimes your attitude pisses me off a little. All this is result of hard work, for no monetary payoff. Just bases on a loose dream of making an awesome game, and having the chance to not sit lonely at every corner of the world, sending files back and forth..  Maybe I'm a crap filmmaker or whatever, but anyone here can raise their hands and do it better. Seriously, if anyone wants to help make videos for the KS and be 100% dedicated about it, PM me.

What's not shown in the duel? There's feints in it, shown both with slow-mo and normally, plus it's explained in the actual text on KS and the YouTube description (+ audio, and in a way so that normal people can understand it). I quoted Wikipedia on feints in the description. That was good enough, at least that's what I felt. Yes feints could have been used more in the duel, sure, but I never thought anything was really missing from the duel except maybe more use of the various angles.
 
Also Thomek is just tired (and stressed :P excuse him), but yeah there was actually a lot of effort put into making this not a bland video, and as I explain in the vid we'll make more to talk about everything in full, I imagine like 5 minutes+ of talking and explaining everything.

We though can't make everything perfect, we're not a studio with tons of resources, we can't modify every thing we say and do to perfection, literally all of us are doing this (and have done) for 0 monetary gain so far while trying to manage our jobs on the side (which is pretty damn tough and very stressful, especially these days, so sorry in advance if anyone comes off as a bit salty!). We do screen-test with a small group, some from the community and others from outside who never played these types of games. I'll add a few more prying eyes for the next videos, see if we can cover everyone's concerns properly in the future.

Soz Thomek, I did explicitly say "put a lot into making it exciting", not "put a lot into it". I know you guys are working yourselves into the grave and it must be very stressful and also cloud your vision somewhat.

On the other hand, the whole idea of these videos is to get people excited about the game so that they'll back it and tell their friends. With that in mind, I don't think it makes sense to take a documentary approach. I'm obviously not calling you incapable, I just don't think this video hit the mark in that respect.

Don't mind me. I didn't realise it was semi choreographed. I think if Tor and Chase were genuinely trying to kill each other that might make the duel more intense, but I realise the need to have structure so you can explain stuff. I was probably thinking about how a Tor vs Chase duel would look in cRPG and there would be more going on than in the duel here. I did miss a couple feints

Anyway good job guys I only want whats best for the game. I don't think it needs to be over edited or shot to make it more intense either, was more the gameplay I was interested in. The way it was shot was fine to me

Unfortunately when Morrowind was released i didn't have a PC so I ended up playing Oblivion first (on PS3) so when i eventually got to playing Morrowing I couldn't get past the annoying 'you need stamina to do damage' and so I always ended up giving up in about 1-2 hours of gameplay

Just use the trainers found in every city to get past that before adventuring. There's no maximum on skill trainings per level in Morrowind, and they are mostly cheap. On my last two playthroughs I didn't start adventuring before level 30-40ish (of course you do so far earlier), just did city quests, focusing on speech, alchemy, mercantile, athletics, acrobatics, until I had a good amount of HP, stamina, gold for equipment and training (and practically unlimited supply of potions due to alchemy).
