Not permanently, but temporarily.
Some people are plain retarded and make other people quit.
The occasional tk or so doesnt matter. But some people are, whenevery they are playing, annoying the shit out of others.

Same people play every day, know each other. Even if they break the rules, everybody is fine with it. Then some lame admin who hasn't played in weeks come online, ban few regulars and go back playing WoW or whatever. There was a need for many admins in the past, when there were many players. Right now that is not the case.
Micah can tell you there hasn't been a case of griefing in past few days.
Edit: Biggest griefer is GTX, a 2h sperglord who comes online to insult people and abuse broken mechanics.

PS 2: How am i abusing broken mechanics? Is it just because that everyone better than you, must be abusing mechanics? It seems to be the logic in the c-rpg community.

Emanuel is not a new player, and, even if I'm a bad admin, I'm practically the only one who admins EU_7 (DTV) regularly, and I think that reports (ctrl+m) aren't always enough and polls aren't always effective, and some people deserve a "timeout" longer than 1 hour, because, at least in some cases, it's not about bad days, but bad education, and at least I don't tolerate that.

Well, I've been intentionally teamkilled couple of times in past few weeks. Same people who tked me out of spite later said sorry. People don't grief on purpose.
Saw that Emanuel is banned. He's a new player to this mod, an archer. Playing a lot of cRPG, keeping servers active. Haven't seen him do anything wrong, yet an admin claim he tked and was banned for it. I call that bullshit.
No wonder people are downvoting, same people who play 2 hours a week, like douchebag Uther Pendragon and his lot.
How much do you play then? I get home from work and hop on cRPG. No matter when I see Emanuel playing, he is annoying the shit out of me, griefing, teamhitting, teamkilling.
I got to the point where I just report every single nudge of him, no matter if it took hit points or not.
He then just gets mad and teamhits me "accidently" and just runs around in front of me when I am shooting.
I am on about people like him. People who purposely try to ruin other people's fun, every single fucking day.
If such people will be allowed to screw other people over with no consequences, THEN you will lose active players keeping this mod alive. Such as myself.
Because there is no way in hell I will play a game where fucking knobheads can do as they please, while others are more enduring than enjoying the game.

Maybe constantly just banning for 1 hour by admin is enough? No more "5 days" or anything...
Manually by admin because it's faster and most of the times more reliable than the polls.
He fucks up? Ban him for 1 hour manually. He comes back? Ban him for another hour... they gonna learn pretty quick this way I would imagine...

You're not a bad admin but I think you take your duty a bit too seriously, in the light of current evens (dead mod, dead kickstarter, pretty much dead everything about this community and game/mod). DTV is something I like to play but due to changes can't bother really because it has been ruined so much that only map where server is still full is that castle map. Can't blame the players who act silly on that server when most of the time it is half empty and people are there for shits and giggles.
Ever since the stock maps are back on the server is full more often again.
But yeah, the mod is incredibly empty compared to a few months ago.
Not banning people will not help though. Well let me rephrase: Not banning anybody.
I agree that bans are the last resort. But some people just do not understand simple warnings. They need time off cRPG to think about their behavior.
Everybody is a twat every now and then. No problem with that, but there are certain people who are a twat 99% of the time, and only very occasionally are not a pain in the arse.
These people need a day or so off to think about how they should behave ingame and towards other people.

Honestly the people that would be deterred by a 1 hour ban usually straighten out with just pink text or a kick. There are some who would join immediately after the 1 hour was up to do it again and again, just to spite you ("you" being either the admin who banned them, former clan members, their ~CRPG crush~, or just the community in general - trolls have many motivations).
