Title: EU 5 vs 5 Tournament

Hey guys.

I want to make a new 5 vs 5 tournament like some months ago.
IF we get enough teams we can maybe ask the admins if there can also be some prices.
Same rules like last tournament and a roster of 8 ppl.
But there is 1 EXTRA rule!!!
Players do not count as range if they take a crossbow and drop it at spawn or use throwing weapons like daggers.

I hope we will get enough teams to organise a new tournament.

I was playing with the thought of doing something similar aswell, the competitive side of the game is definitely a lot of fun.

Something like this needs structure though and we don't even know if people are actually interested in more tournaments.

I'd be willing to take this over if you're willing to mostly self-organize your tournament. Too much real life stuff on my hand to do it by myself.

Prizes, well, I gonna hit on Nessaj and see what he's willing to offer. No promises but I gonna ask...

Do the pre-organizing stuff, get some proper team count going and we'll figure something out. Deal?

Edit: Talked to Nessaj. There will be prizes sponsored. Since you all know the former tournament- and event-prizes... We were always pretty well supported on that basis. Gold, loompoints and maybe some other stuff. We'll see when there are teams and stuff is on its way already.

Like in the last tournament it is 5 vs 5. There is only 1 difference. All players in your roster need to be from one and the same country (for example Team 1: 5 French’s vs 5 Sweden’s). You can also forge an alliance if there are not enough players from one country.
In the qualifying there will be groups with 5 different teams. Every team needs 1 leader and 1 co-leader. The leaders of those teams need to add each other to arrange the match. Each team can pick 1 map. We play 8 rounds on every map and after 4 rounds we change sides. (fairness)
There are no official teams of one country. I reckon that we will have 2 or more teams from Germany, France, Poland, Russia and Turkey. Everyone can add a team if you got enough players.
To put a team together you need 5 players. As far as I know it is more comfortable for your team if you got 8 – 10 players.

Let’s talk about the rules.
Each team can use not more than 2 ranged, 2 cav’s and there is no max for melee. 
You only count as ranged if you have more than 120 weapon points on throwing, crossbow or archery.
There is no limit or maximum of armour and all weapons are allowed.
The characters you will use are your STF’s just to make the whole tournament a bit fairer.
I hope our nice and dedicated admins will add prices to make the whole thing a bit unnerving.

If there is something to add just write it into the comments and I will think about it .

They could make a screenshot with someone from the other Team while they click c. So nobody can forge the picture.

Simply dont allow a team to spawn more than 2 bows/crossbows ;p

It sounds pretty hard but we could also disallow throwing.
And ye there are multiple Teams for one Country.

You might wanna consider getting a number of minimum teams figured out at which point a tournament does make sense.

If there are like only 3 teams interested, there is no point really.
Either do it here or lock this one and create a proper thread of team enlisting.
Also, create a proper and worked out rule set. That way people can see if they wanna participate under those circumstances.

Depending on the number of teams, you can decide if you wanna do a tournament or rather cup.

Who will act as referee when the host himself will be part of a team?

Also you should probably ask for your own subsection and bring a little bit more structure into everything, i mean doing it like this is slightly confusing and i honestly have trouble taking all of it serious

Why the restrictions in every tournament?

I would instead suggest that everything should be allowed, from classes to equipment.
You can change people and equipment at start of every new round to better counter what the opponent has.

Round 1: 5 lancers vs 5 archers
Round 2: 5 lancers vs 2 spearmen and 3 archers
Round 3: 5 1h cav with shields vs 1 spearman and 4 archers
And so on...

Winning by taking flag should also be allowed.

And how are going to do those replacements every round with just one STF?
You play a round, then make 5 minutes break cuz someone needs to respec, play 1 round, again someone wants to respec...

You gonna make matches take 2 hours with more time consumed by respecs than gaming time.
Won't work.

No breaks. If someone doesn't spawn within the time limit of spawning it might be 4vs5 that round.
Make hybrid builds or not, it's up to each team.

If someone respawns a second time same round that team would lose the roudn of course.

Well, I guess people of this community just arent smart enough.
