Can you ever get to trade the items from the starter kit?

Nope they are just an small bonus to u, u can use them or let them be.

With that starter kit you have more looms than quite a few of the older players, be happy :|

Thats not what i mean  :(. just want to trade example the Two handed sword for a 1 handed would that be nice?

Correct me if i'm wrong, but you can use the Loom Exchange I believe which allows you to trade one for any other loom. You only get 1 loom exchange for free
