Yeah this looks like a spiritual successor to the first of the Postal games, I was about 12 when I played the original Postal game, strangely enough I didn't go on a killing spree, maybe the media have it wrong... yeah they do.

Postal 2 was fun and not only about shooting people with guns and that's it. It was about pissing on burning victims. Putting a shotgun up cats shitty asses. Hilarious satire and parodies in the story. Burning people alive. Fighting screaming jihad women.

This just looks like it gives the player a gun or two and go for 'try to kill as many as possible and survive for as long as possible' approach.


Also the developers (or some of them) are neo natzees IRL. Lol'd.

Seems interesting, its so edgy and has such HATRED already directed to it in the comments i might actually enjoy it. And god forbid maybe it actually has decent gameplay compared to most piles of shit that are released today with good critiques based solely on their story.

Gameplay reminds me of Crusader: No Remorse, although to be fair I don't remember it all that well.

Pretty much yea. Dont people know by know that bad publicity is still publicity. The gameplay didnt really seem all that deep and impressive, im quessing the real plan here is to gain profit and notice through haters and critics calling it too violent.

Meh, I have no interest in the game and it leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Seems like it was made for the sole reason of sparking controversy in order to boost sales as it's a touchy subject since this games purpose is literally to murder for fun where in most games it's a option (GTA series, etc).

Edit - I'm sure Postal is going to be brought up in a argument against me which is fine but Postal was also made in 1997 and had terrible graphics making it a lot less relateable and Postal 2 being more comedy killing where this game takes a serious route.

I don't really understand the comparisons to GTA. In GTA, the goal isn't to kill civilians while they're begging you not to because you hate the world and life. It's more comical than anything in the GTA series, always has been, and never the purpose of the game. Killing civilians is there just to make the open world seem more free. Hatred's only mission seems to be to kill innocents in the most graphic ways while listening to their screams and pleas of mercy. I like GTA, would never play Hatred, seems gay as hell. Which sane person would even enjoy a goth/heavy-metal-whatever protagonist that keeps whining about life?

That's the reason behind the decision or at least that's all valve has to say about it.
The game officialy changed is name from Hatred to Hated!

EDIT: and back on steam! :D apparently something's changed ..


Honestly all this mess just helping a (probably mediocre) game to increase its fanbase, but i like the hypocrite discussion on it tho.

Its back on Greenlight btw. It was a mistake apparently

The game doesn't really interest me but neither does blood thirsty horrors or gansta rap but I don't really object to them existing. I guess we need stupid games like this to move gaming forward as something adults can enjoy just like any other entertainment medium

Ugh, this game is nothing compared to Postal2.

Can I break into the house and decapitate a man with a shovel, who also suddenly tries to kill me with a shovel after he gets the first hit?
Can I then take his head and play fetch with the mans dog with it?
Can I put some fuel onto the dog, then throw the head into the fire, so the dog runs into it and catches fire?
Can I then open the door and run through the city, randomly spilling fuel onto citizens, knowing that the burning dog behind me, trying to bring back his owners head to me, will surely set them and half of the village on fire?

Yeh, didn´t think so.

This game here is just like a 13 year old boy, wanting to prove everybody desperately that he´s got hair on his tiny ballsack. And people who like it are like "yeah, it´s cool because other people don´t like it cause they´re pussies. Fuck the system! The world shall fear me, Shadowkiler98!"

16,66€ (oh how smart they are.....meh) for the digital copy and 36,66€ ( and again..) with soundtrack plus t-shirt.
Ok right now, this game to me looks like a neverending killing bots game, with no sense, missions, coop/online pvp or any kind of complexity.
Trash and splatter, which i like for a while, but boring as fuck.

at least they put good physics ingame , fast paced action isometric madness , ok , getting bored killing innocents in short time. i enjoyed much more killing grandmas in gta 3 with a bat.
why i don't understand is : gta is cool , this is not cause violent :/
gta has a story etc but the level of violence is the same , maybe worse cause you can kick a cat in gta 5.
hypocrites everywhere.

game is quite good but you may get bored soon.
