My monitor is not good enough for this shit, it's like playing FPS with darn gamepad. First time lvl 17, second attempt lvl 22, third time lvl 26. Will try couple times more to see if I'll keep improving. Bright colours are my bane and green and especially blue are killing me.

This game is what Kafein's nightmares consist of.

Edit: Meh you can cheat. Dude who made this forgot to put penalty on clicks, if you have fast fingers you don't have to guess the colour. But I'm trying with other senses to play this, because my eyes and monitor are not up to the task. If I don't see difference in warmth right away, no way I'll find later.

This game is cheating. It will deliberately place some 99th level stuff randomly. During this run I got WHITE squares on WHITE background, felt like blindfolded Neo. Once I got bright yellow wall and there is no way in hell anyone could guess the difference on anything bellow 5000 dollar Eizo monitor (I'm still on TN film LCD).

Eh, one is always brighter than the rest, and mostly it's around the edges.

If given enough time it will show up regardless of colour. I just prefer to do it that way and the timer kills me  :mrgreen:

I don't know if it's about the color balance of my screen or what but those mid range purples get me evry tim (~29lvl)...

Actually yellow is the easiest one for me, it shines like the Sun, whereas for other colours it takes me a while. In a different room with different lightning I got a bit farther (33-35ish, dont remember exactly). Lightning affects a lot.
I also wonder if tilting my laptop screen would help. Will try tonight.

This game makes me mad... I was attacked by those purple motherfuckers again! Tried to take a screenshot to ask if one of you could have spotted the correct one. I stared at the page and when I couldn't find anything I clicked everything until the time ran out. Then I stared at the screen some more but still couldn't find shit. Then my screenshot only had that pop up in it -.-

yeah I got a 1440p screen, but it's a PLS panel though not IPS, else 50+ np :twisted:

PLS is the name Samsung uses to describe IPS technology which is invented by their biggest competitor Lucky Goldstar (LG). Same shit basically. Thanks for reminding me that I have to change my monitor.

PLS was developed by Samsung as a cheaper alternative to IPS, nowadays it's quite the same though (some say one or either is the best, whatever tbh) as far as I can see and read it depends on the monitor, e.g. PCB quality and what not. I'm using an overclocked QNIX so the colors aren't super 100% awesome crisp as they'd be on for example a "straight" IPS Overlord monitor (http://overlordcomputer.com/ (http://overlordcomputer.com/)), this is due to the overclocking though which distorts the colors a bit.

If you're a calibrating hero you can fiddle a lot with that.

Personally I think that IPS looks better, I've had both types of screens and even with calibrating and color profiles etc the IPS' just seems a tad more clear and better when overclocked imo.

Need the new beastly ASUS 27" 1440p 140hz.

Got to 27 on first try and it was pretty brutal...this is a pretty cool game to distinguish which colors you're more "color blind" at (or maybe just which colors you have a harder time distinguishing nuances in).

I'm gonna tell you how to get to over 40. Those damn blocks start to haunt you if you stare at them too hard (the corners start to show black dots on those empty areas and the colors start mixing etc...).

What I did was not so much about recognizing nuances in the color as it was about seeing "movement" whenever I clicked something. Human eye is pretty good at detecting movement. So whenever I was about to click a block I stopped looking at it and tried to see all the blocks at the same time instead so I can see the next one appear.

Yeah it's shameful that I did worst score in my own country :D. Knew it was Finland from the road signs and markings but I just couldn't figure out where. That Strange Space Center was cool tho and I knew it was in Kiruna Sweden. Otherwise wouldn't have gotten that good score without googling the locations from the road signs (I once located some random spot from Canada and got something like 300 meters away from the starting point :D)

Purple and some red/purple colors are worst.

Anyway, I got to test this with my old lap-top's screen and barely managed to get 30 points. Today I got my new IPS monitor, plugged it in and got over 40 points  :lol:

This is actually a very bad way to test colorblindness, because the divergent color is always just the same color but clearer. I feel I should get 15 but I can easily reach 32 by clicking fast, even without cheating.
