Title: Raids?
Post by: Yoshi on September 15, 2014, 04:26:00 am
How do raids work? We have 1970 population to fight off a raid, but I just looked and we have 0 troops now... Also what exactly happens when we get raided and they win? Do they steal gold or gear or what?

Raids are simply attacks against the garrison, they cannot capture the fief, but if they win all the gear and (?) gold in the fief will be taken by them. Any troops on persons in the fief will remain untouched, as will any gear or gold on persons in the fief.

Population cannot fight a raid, only the garrison can, which is why you have 0 troops despite your 1970 population.

Otherwise correct.

Thanks for clarifying, I could not quite remember about the gold.

Never leave an important fief without a garrison, or never put gear in it. We keep gear for our garrisons only, not pop. It's an old strat mechanic that some vets tend to be watchful for.

You'll know 2 hours after the start whether it's a raid or an assault, and when that happens, gear it up.

Either crime has to go or raids have to go.
