1) Set your main character (done at the bottom of the character screen.  DO NOT SKIP THE FUN.)

2) Make a topic asking for bids (On the marketplace forum)

Instructions on selling heirloom points (remember you must be able to use the item to heirloom it):

3) When you find out what your buyer wants, put up a trade offering a straw hat, requesting the item you are supposed to heirloom along with however much gold you're getting payed (This is done in the marketplace, located in the equipment menu.  Bottom right button in the square box on the left).

4) They trade it to you, you heirloom the item on your retirement screen.

5) They put up a trade offering a straw hat, requesting the heirloomed item.  You accept the trade, and you're done.

3) When you have a bid that satisfies you notify your high bidder, then put up a trade offering your item for whatever items/gold you and your buyer agreed to (This is done in the marketplace, located in the equipment menu.  Bottom right button in the square box on the left).

4) Message your high bidder stating that the trade is up.

5) Wait for the bidder to accept the trade.

6) Update your OP and lock the thread (under 'other options' on the modify post page)

If you're referring to just selling off random items, you can sell them by clicking the little button at the bottom right of the item statistics while at your inventory screen on the website (it has a little gold coin stacks icon along with the gold you will get for selling it). This will sell the item to the NPC marketplace, causing it to vanish into nothingness forever, so do not sell your heirloomed items there.
