Because USA owns Japan cuz they spared them after WW2 and their emperor in return for free sushi and to take what Japanese got for free. In return they got to live and the nuke radiation made the Japanese go weird and become number 1 in technology and also made them write hentai and manga.

The "cage" is much better imo, in Pride  the fighters got stuck  between the ring's ropes quite often, sometimes they even fell out of the ring lel.  Dem "soccer" kicks and stomps tho...

damn that arm break is brutal to watch...

That's about as cringeworthy as silva's shin break for me... something about watching that guys arm get twisted slowly until it pops sends shivers down my spine!  :shock:

Sadly there's only a few interesting fighters to watch, since the rules are very favorable to ground fighting.. and that isn't very interesting to watch.

Yes. It all happened AFTER WW2. Before that they weren't Manga/Hentai/Anime/DesuDesu/Panties in vendor machines weirdos. The radiation fukked up their minds and future children.

If you enjoy wrestling, better watch hairy, oily Turks groping each other than this MMA crap. Even water polo is better wrestling sport than MMA. Modern social studies have shown that people who endulge in MMA fighting and those watch it have insufficient mental capabilities. Recent events are a proof of that, with so many MMA fighters participating in pointless violent acts.

WWE is superior to this shit on so many levels.

Then again i watch Pro Wrestling (WWE), Real Wrestling (atleast Olympics) and MMA. Submission and grappling > Boxing and kicking. If you don't like boxing or kicking or don't like grappling then i dunno why you watch MMA. Go watch Boxing or Kickboxing instead.

MMA claims to be a sport. therefore the fighters should think about the coming fights as well and not go into live or death mode.

Xant I really would like to meat you one day do see if your actual appearance can live up to your virtual.

I like the fights when they mix it up properly.
Watching them wrestling for full 3 rounds is as boring as watching them punch each other for full 3 rounds.
I can appreciate a technical ground game if it doesn't involve just being on top of the other guy and not move the rest of the time.
Same way I can appreciate dirty boxing in the cage side if it involves work and movement.

Some fights just have too many breaks in them and nothing - literally - happens. Those are boring.

Yup, I too enjoy balanced fights the most. Some fighters do have fairly interesting ground games, but majority don't. But there's tons of fighters who have boring as fuck stand up style as well.

Probably the reason I really like watching Frank Mir.
He's awesome and technical on the ground for such a huge guy. He still stands and trades punches too tho.
Same for George St-Pierre. I like his versatility. A beast on the ground and yet he improved a lot over the last years in standing up.

Though I rarely have a favourite. Most of the time I rule for the guy that puts up the better fight which doesn't necessarily mean that he wins in the end :P
With those thin gloves, it's surprising that there are not even more knock outs tbh.
