Because why not? Only logical reason is stretched images, but who really cares. It's a dress!

People wasn't so keen on a heraldic dress but they liked the sound of a coloured dress that fits whatever colour your banner is, In fact I think Zagibu might have even been working on it.....But then he died.  :(
