Title: Teams unfair to justify a multiplier
Post by: Nyalan on August 22, 2014, 07:20:25 am
Removing this penalty will only give more fun to people

And help the mod

There are tons of times where the enemy team has 26 players alive and our time 0 at the end and there is never such xp issues coming through. I think, especially when there are not a lot of people in game, that removing this penalty can only make the mod live longer.

Yeah but then we'll have 2 players all alone on a single server farming x5 because the other guy is afk

To be honest, the fact that people worry so much about others getting some kind of unfair advantage like this is pretty pathetic. If some no-lifer and his friend want to stay up 24/7 while the rest of us work/sleep/socialize, so be it. I am quite content letting someone blow past me in levels since I gained mine not only by having fun, but also in a manner that didn't interrupt my normal life.

That said, the more realistic approach to fixing this issue would be to simply fix it so that this message never pops up when the server has more than 20 players.  I have seen it popping up an insane amount lately, even during primetime in NA1.

Its mostly when a few players rage quit mid round or leave to reroll a map suitable character. Could easily be fixed by taking the team values at the start of the round instead of the end (if thats possible).

Or set a minimum of players for the "Teams unfair to justify a multiplier" to become inactive.

Uuuuuh...well arent we supersocial and shit. Acting a little smug about arent we? You do realise if I spend like an hour some mornings, milking x5 cause of some afk dude that would hardly hinder anyones sociallife and be quite a massive abuse. I dont even have to play. Il just alt+tab and do other things while the xp and gold keeps rolling.

While it won't be removed, it will be toned down significantly after the next patch. If there are more than 8 people in the server, you shouldn't really ever see it.

Nobody cares

Great, please release this patch tomorrow, thanks.

Get in irc and pester chadz, he's the only one who can patch. chadz prefers to patch on weekends and I won't have access to my pc this weekend, so someone else will have to pester him (the more the better).
