Title: Moving with crates
Post by: Fearvich on August 17, 2014, 06:30:28 pm
So I read somewhere that you need 1 horse/donkey per crate and you'll keep the 44ish mpm.
Since all the trade goods seem to weigh different I usually end up with 200-300 crates for 350 ponies on my first buy.
(say 300 goods put me at 300 crates) If I bought 50 more goods, using the trade goods to crates ratio I received, the crates skyrocket past 350. I don't understand! Another issue is sometimes I'll be closer to my max crates, but not over, and my speed will drop to 24mpm.

1 good per horse for max speed bonus. 1 good of 1 good type for every 1 troop keeps crates from skyrocketing. Horses were nice in the beginning of strat but now there is so much S&D; I believe you're better off without them. A "499'er" is hot currently. 499 troops 4-5 different stacks of 499 goods, constantly blow your quick march while traveling to fiefs 45-52 km's away, re-up the same way and do it again in reverse. You should easily clear 350,000 - 500,000 Silver per loop.

I think donkeys at a huge discount are worth it.  Get 1000 donkeys (need 1000 troops too) get 1000 goods and fly across the map at 35'ish meters/min.
