Title: how do you roll?

I came back just recently, i heard people saying pressing AA and DD / AAAA/ DDDD will do the trick. I done those but its not working?

Only works when knocked down or bumped by cav doesnt work after being dehorse

When you get knocked down by a weapon or cav or a chamber kick you can roll by spamming A or D.

Make sure to not press anything else, neither W, nor a mouse button or the door bell.

After being knocked down it feels like ages until it lets you roll, and the timeframe is fairly small so I always spam A or D once I get knocked down.

Don't press anything and wait a moment, then press AA or DD when you hit the floor

Didn't know you could spam it. Holding block when you get hit might interfere with it

Yes switch is right, if you are pressing anything other than aa or dd then you will not roll

Another retarded game mechanic. How a man in full plate can make a "breakdance" on the floor after being hit by hammer in the head or trampled by armored horse  :?: :?: :?:

You have to spam the button WHILE you are going down.  It's hard to catch.

And yeah, the roll is a little fast and spastic looking, but it's totally possible to do rolling, jumping, and somersaulting in full plate.  I'm surprised that in this day and age people still think plate armor wears 300 pounds and the wearer is as sluggish as a fat guy at the buffet.  Get some history yo!

in a mod where samurai wield german greatswords and naked women run around beating people to death with wood sticks
