Title: EU Tournament Livestream (raffle tickets)!

Today we will start streaming some of the matches in the cRPG 5v5 Tournament (http://forum.melee.org/official-crpg-5v5-eu-tournament/), simply because spectating in-game sucks and isn't really possible.

Todays matches (2014-07-20):

Barabe vs. Red Alert - 19:00 GMT +2
The_Greys vs. Dunno - 20:00 GMT +2

To throw you a bone we will also give raffle tickets to all the viewers (to get a ticket you have to register on twitch.tv, that's the only way we can see who's watching). If you have a nick name completely different than you're cRPG just say so in Chat and we will take notes!

If 20:00 GMT+2 = 19:00 GMT+1, the stream should be online right now, but it says it's offline :|

Why would i need to check I've known since i was like 10    CET = GMT +2 in summer.

Do you think your clocks go forward for no reason?

Rico, no. The stream will be online in about 24 minutes = 20:00 GMT +2

CEST = Central European Summer Time
CET   = Central European Time
GMT = Greenwich Mean Time

CEST = GMT+2
CET   = GMT+1

UKsummer = GMT+1
UKwinter    = GMT

So for you

Germanysummer = GMT+2
Germanywinter    = GMT+1

Thus: 20:00 GMT+2 would be 20:00 in Germany, 19:00 in the UK, and 18:00 GMT, or for our American friends 13:00 CST (Central Standard Time).

I think you have a bad setting on your stream.
For the second time it is impossible for me to see the stream. I get only a "loading video" and "fail to load the video."

I tested different stream at the same time and I had problems only with yours.
Tested with chrome and firefox, same result.

Alright, we're going to stream today as well. We're going live 19:00 GMT +2.

Todays matches:

Barabe vs. Red Alert - 19:00 GMT +2
The_Greys vs. Dunno - 20:00 GMT +2

You will of course get more Raffle Tickets for the montly raffles to give you a chance to win unique items, heirloom points and cRPG gold.

It will be broadcasted by Gravoth & I as usual.

I have around 60Mb upload, server chosen is located in sweden (closest i can get) quality downscaled to 480p with bitrate 3.5k and buffer 4k. There should be no problems watching it afaik. I cant really do anything to make it work for you specifically.. I could drop the quality even lower to 360p if that could be the cause.

That seems to be the common cause anyways, ive had people lag all the time when i streamed 720p while one of my friends could watch it without any issues whatsoever.

Well it seems to be working perfectly fine for the majority. So the problem must be specifically at your end matt.

Maybe your speed isnt enough to load it before the request times out?

One thing that might help those experiencing lag:

Go to: http://www.adobe.com/support/documentation/nl/flashplayer/help/settings_manager07.html

Set the data that sites can store on your computer to 10mb. This helps A LOT. Sadly I got plenty of experience with Twitch thanks to following the League of Legends pro scene .. and Twitch lag is pretty much a topic that always comes back, time and time again.

I agree but why in this case it only happens on this stream?

We have 4 (!) official matches tomorrow, but no one to Stream it since Gravoth is away on vacation till Friday.

Is there anyone that are interested in Streaming & Broadcasting all the matches so we can stack up on some more Raffle Tickets? :wink:
