I cannot vote myself, but well. I love the old female commands. They are the only reason I am playing a female character, and partially the reason I still play this mod so often :D
The ones that were male were good too, but I do not mind the new male ones. I agree with Molly though, that they, or at least some of them, need to be tweaked and somewhat changed.
If they go back to the old female voices, and add all other commands fitting the old voices, then it would be a dream come true :D

After updating to the latest version,
1) Go to your Warband/Modules/Crpg folder 2) Delete Sounds folder 3) Download https://www.sendspace.com/file/xjn2rh 4) unpack into your Warband/Modules/Crpg
Important:
If you don't delete your old Sounds folder, you will still get the new female Q menu voices. DO NOT DELETE THE SOUNDS IN YOUR WARBAND FOLDER, only in Warband/Modules/Crpg.

This only restores the female voices. Same usage.

We should create a command voice for that, sometimes, I want to whistle to enemies, and not saying "To me, my noble steed !". Get back whistling but keep "to me my noble steed" for those who want by giving them the same effect.

I personally think the novelty to some of them wears off quickly. I was one of those who loved spamming QQV, but after some time it just got a bit loud and silly for me to focus on the actual gameplay. The death sounds for men sound pretty lame too, and, as much as I like having so many new commands for males (the "silence" one is hillarious), they are too over the top and they mess with the mood of the game (I'm playing a "medieval-action" game, not a Monty Python stage play simulator).
Some tweaking would do wonders. The new female voice commands are bad tho. I liked the old voice "actress" better and I wish we could get some more commands with her voice, not the voice of Polly the parrot.

I just think u guys don't know what kind of work that is. 200 + Voice commands first recording and later NAMING & exporting ONE BY ONE - that's not an easy job - actually it really sucks :D.
But that's something i'm willed to do - if you are patient, and stop raging all the time just bcus there's a placeholder right now.
Since the patch was released, i made a list of what to change. And this list will be processed within the next month. Just give me some time.
If you don't like the new VC, use the patch provided by (Turkhammer i guess?) and stop QQing.

Please don't misinterprate us, Fin. I imagine making and inplementing those commands takes time. I also think the idea of having new commands is fantastic, I just don't like the direction it's taking. I wouldn't like to have "I am womanning the siege tower" or "come to me, my noble steed" for such basic commands even with new people uttering them. Patching it to the older voice commands is forcing a handful of people to "downgrade" the mod. If the lines are also mere placeholders I'll swallow my words and take my hat off to you for the work, but I somehow doubt that's your goal.
I hope this doesn't sound like a whinny rant.

It never was a secret, this is only the first attempt to have a complete new set of VC for c-rpg. Implementing the troll voices was meant to be an easteregg - for some ppl to maybe enjoy trolling for a few weeks before it gets serious again.
I'm pretty sure, the voice commands can be both - informative, serious, and at the same time funny if used in the right moment - and that's the thing i'm aiming for.
As mentioned above, the voice commands need some more work. And I will certainly think about everything i've read so far - except molly's 1000000000000 childish cryposts.
So thanks for your feedback. I will open a new topic asa the production starts, where ppl can suggest commands and poll for changes - until then, try taking it as a little joke - cus that what those placeholders were meant to be.

I doubt it makes sense to have 3 - or even 4 different voices... kinda kills the immersion. What i'm gonna do is, trying to get as close as possible with the new commands.
Even with the actual version i think it's kinda nice, that u have that feeling the voice actually belongs to someone.
Worst thing that could happen is, that you have that soundboardish voices that sound like a bad collage of different voices and qualities (...).

I don't like placeholders, the new VC should have been finished before integrating into the mod. Also you should have let the community sample some of the sounds beforehand to get feedback.
I really liked the old female VC, it was amazing despite how limited it was. Running around as a sassy agi hero and telling people to shutup turned out to be the thing that kept me playing this mod. Once this was removed I quit and I have not touched the game since. Yes I could revert, but I guess I am spoiled and don't believe I should have to edit my game to make it playable again. I'll give your new VC a chance when it is finished, but it looks like I'm taking a break from the game until then.

Nah, it's over. I said what I wanted to say. Instead of making a zip in thread with "Hey, I made some half-assed voice commands. Try them." it went live over the updater and everyone is pestered with it. Now we have to download the proper voices from a nice guy who luckily somehow kept them.
And everyone keeps saying I should be happy that someone is still making stuff. Why should I when it's bad and NOT optional. Heirloom package is optional cuz some don't like it. Metal sounds are optional cuz some don't like them. Voices are mandatory without any official announcement.
Everything went according to plan and it's awesome and great. I'm just an ungrateful asshole with mucho butthurt. End of story...

Molly, no one told you not to express your opinion regarding the new voices, but at least do it in a more respectful manner towards the guy who probably spent a lot of hours doing this, FOR FREE.

Being polite, and having the god damn curtesy to show some respect to someones work, are two different things. I never claimed that I am a saint or a bastion of chivalry, but at least I can show some respect to other peoples work, especially when he`s doing it for free.
But on the other hand, Molly`s last 10 posts, are 100% bitch posts, full with moans and tears of how the voices are ruinning the game. And whats even worse, is that Fin told him plenty of times, that the voices are in an alpha stage and that they are gonna get improved. But NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, molly had to keep on bitching like the pompous guy he is.

He does it for Free? Ok. Doesn't change the fact that it isn't an improvement on the previous sounds, on some points it is, but by far not worth the change. Molly confronted Fin in the regular c-rpg style. "Your new shit sucks", whereafter Fin feels personally assaulted by Molly. Just because the community wasn't as happy as he might have expected them to be with the new sounds..
Fin, as an M:BG dev shouldn't have been personally offended by it, but should've just done it like Tydeus and San do - listen to what the community has to say and how the community thinks it could be improved.
Instead of fucking crying about how many hours he put into this - well if thats your big issue, just quit it immediatly, it is totally irrelevant. :P you choose to do it! You didnt have to.
I do hope he'll #manup and start acting like a proper dev, because this is just a pathetic showcase of a person who should be in charge of things here(relatively, ofcourse).
Dont get me wrong, I appreciate the effort he put into it!

We barely even talk. I don't have any Problems listening to critics or what ever and i'm not someone who's over-sensitive, but if someone, who i thought of being a nice guy suddenly goes nuts, calls me stupid, my work worthless and states that as a fact and not his very own opinion (even spams our clan-topic with that bullcrap) - then i jus am offended.

I made so many post with ascending rudeness because you didn't react to any of the complains. Not just my complaints but the dozens of other people in the patch thread for example. So, yes, I made 2 (yes, 2 posts are spam nowadays) in the clan thread to get a reaction out of you. A proper one and not just "Just place holders, stop crying, I'm back on the server voice spamming with my troll clan."

Why are current M:BG music composer and one of our event managers having a childish fight? Take a moment and recall that you're working for the same mod, trying to make it better and more appealing to both the old guard and the fresh meat :? Not all patches hit the jackpot, not all things planned come out as intended (*cough* recent tournament *cough*), but it's not a reason to suddenly lash out with hatred against people involved with them. Swallow your hate, accept the fix (in this case an easy one to aquire) and try to give some constructive criticism.
It's true, this voice-pack has many flaws, the QQV roar is ear-shattering and the "whistle" needs to go away, but I found most of the male ones fucking amazing :) Female ones... well, I've heard worse things. :lol:
I understand that some people may really dislike it. But that does not justify acting like this, and while it's correct that Fin should've maybe warned us about the incoming voice-pack, calling him an idiot just because his first ever recorded voice pack (I guess it was a first one :D) wasn't perfect is dumb. :|
