Hey there.

I made a thread in Off Topic talking about a channel on youtube I was making. Now that I actually made some cRPG videos I figured I could legitimately post something in General Discussion. Behold!

If you like cheesy montages and videos edited with Windows Movie Maker, then look no further. I, MrShine, can be your one-stop-shop for all things cRPG video related. Simply check this thread roughly once a week (or subscribe on Youtube) and delight in questionably low quality cRPG goodness.

But..but...I died in the last duel! That's 25% of the duels in that video!
(serious answer: I wanted to include the good long duels, and in many of those I ended up winning. If I included all the duels where I made stupid mistakes and died within the first few attacks it would have made for a boring video. By no means am I trying to say I'm better than the people I dueled though just because I won that particular duel - most of those guys have kicked my ass countless times)

You should see some of the clips I cut where I'm looking around for cavalry - you'd probably get nauseous :D Youtube was like "it seems like you had a shaky camera - can we smooth that out for you?".

(now I just need to find the blend of video settings & recording quality where video won't be choppy without making things utterly terrible looking)

ahaha, you beat me to the punch! Glad you enjoyed it - I spent a crapton of time on it and I feel pretty good about how it turned out.

I'm going to try to get a cRPG video up periodically, although Hearthstone is probably going to be a primary focus. I'll need to think of some different cRPG video ideas for the next one though...

I always thought that learning how to use terrain was important too.

All I learned from this is to stack athletics and be a kiting bitch. This is probably one of the last things we want the newbies to learn.

On topic, that 10 tips was a damn good video. It would be cool to see a follow up that gets into kicks/nudges and maybe more about chambering... any advanced tactics, really.

I don't think he meant that newbies should be cannon fodder. Sure, they should avoid sticky situations, but they shouldn't strive to use such a playstyle.

Using terrain to your advantage correctly is good for every play style.
