Title: Character belongs to someone else

So my characters on c-rpg are unable to log in.
This happens sometimes after my friend visits, logs on his steam account, and plays Napoleonic wars DLC for warband.
It somehow corrects itself after some time, I've tried logging in while steam is not open, logging in through my steam account, logging in after my steam account has been used.
It seems like something I do fixes it sometimes, but never in a timely fashion, and never before many "This character belongs to someone else" messages.

What do?

Apparently this situation "fucks" your warband like in the stickied post above.
or it just resolved itself through time.
Nothing to see here.
