Title: Game Overhaul : Small chance to stumble and fall if you backpedal.

Based on the total weight of your gear, there should be a small chance that you stumble and fall down if you backpedal.

More weight = Bigger chance of falling down
also we could use thiS feature to buff Strength a bit.

For example : 100kg of total gear weight = 10% Chance of stumbling and falling BUT, for 15 STR and above, you get -1% chance of falling down, because your character is "stronger"


What do you guys think?

I think this is more of a thread to QQ about backpeddling than a legit suggestion. You really want a random chance to fall over while playing? Doesn't sound like a fun game mechanic to me.

Running forward keeps your momentum up and is better for running away and during fights. Plus running backward already has a decent downside - you run slower than even the slowest guys who run forward. As long as you stay out of kick range backpeddling is easily countered with W and is mostly a tool to see the battlefield while repositioning yourself.

Nerf W?

I think you would like this economically, Panos. There might be a couple of nickels on the ground that you otherwise wouldn't have noticed!

There must be better solutions than random knockdown :S Afaik, the formula with the running speed takes into account the length and weight of your weapon. Maybe just the part about the length could be accented a little more?

Whats wrong with backpeddaling? Facehug fights are so awkward, also you get kicked all the time if you dont backpeddal.

Everybody already hates knockdown. Random chance anything is bad.

Besides most "backpedalling" is in fact sidestepping, because the sidestepping speed is higher.
