I picked this up a few weeks ago for like $15. Might be a little more than that now.
Anyway, it's a pirate standalone using the MB engine. There are land battles and sea battles. Unfortunately it's still in alpha so some things aren't working. There's no taverns yet so you can't recruit heroes, buy books or sell slaves. I don't think you can upgrade troops yet or ask your prisoners to join you yet.
Anyway, it's a bit tough at first, like Warband but even harder since you can't get bonuses from heroes.
It's actually pretty hard to find any discussion on the game, since Carribean is an incredibly common google search term, so it's generally limited to the steam forums.
Anyone else playing this? I'll post some tips later on when I'm not writing from the shitter.

There is a thread devoted to it on TW forums(I'd post a link but TW is down for me atm). There was some shitstorm about the devs apparently using stuff in their game that wasn't theirs.

It looks like one of the scripters who is no longer with the project stole a script for a cannon. The field cannons, I think. Honestly, I don't really care, I'm having fun while playing the game.
A new patch came out today and made my saves incompatible though... ugh.

Somehow this game missed all the radars and sneakily released on 10 December. It's now called "Blood & Gold: Carribbean!".
Quickly reading some responses and reviews shows the game to be running smoothly now. Anyone played it yet? Is it worth the money or just a pirate?

Is there multiplayer?

Except the ship combat is clunkier and aside from a few upgrades it's basically warband pirates editions. At least that's the impression I got when playing it, I would say its worth getting by any means when there are better free SP mods out there. But if you want a pirate game in the warband style then this is probably your best bet. Depends on your interest.
