I have noticed that the light one handed battle axe and one handed war axe have no benefit over the broad/one handed battle axe
In comparison they have:
Same Speed
Less Weight
Less Length
Less Damage
Therefore it seems to me that due to the less damage and less weight these axes should get a speed buff of +1 or 2 more speed

but they cost half as much upkeep

It's the same problem of the :
Nordic sword, sword,simple sword and nordic simple sword.
Those two nordic swords glance on EVERYTHING, got 9 PS, and I feel disgusted. Stabs are completely useless, and if that's to pay such upkeep, I better take a champion nordic sword, like pretty much 80% of 1handers. In the case of the european swords, it's even worse when it comes to cut damage, even if stab is ok, it's completely pathetic to glance like that with huge PS values.
I'd like to see mid tier sword and axes buffed, I'd love to be able to loom a 1 slot middle tier sword, but it's simply not worth it at the moment, since high tier weapons already got speed, lengh, damage, etc ... (except on knighly arming sword, which I consider as a mediocre weapon at melee compared to other swords).
