Title: DTV Overhaul : Changing the reward system

The current reward system is retarded, it is rewarding for players who use low tier gear, and punishing for people who use medium/heavy.

What I`m suggesting is pretty simple, remove the reward cap, and align the reward according to the total gear cost.

For example if you have 30 players online at the same time, with a total gear cost of 700k gold, then the reward should be something like 10% of the total cost as an XP reward, and 3~ % gold reward.

Of course the numbers maybe a bit exagerated, but I think you get the idea.

but in another way lower the repair amount could be better.

By supposing we can't belong to the dev team, is there a way to convince or ingame-remunerate this work to make DTV better?

Of course you can belong to the dev team. If you have experience with the module system i'm sure there'll be a way to get you in to get some stuff done. Unless you're panos. Huehuehue.

I never tried to make or modify a module on Warband but anyway it is on server side ?.

I like the idea. +1

But i have another few ideas on top of that.

What about 2 new Dtv maps. A ranged arena. Where the ranged can shoot from the tribune. Down at the bots. And one little Entrance with a gate mechanism. From where the melees can get into the arena to kill the bots or make shieldwall.

What you could also do. A map with like a corridor with 3 gates after another. And after every gate there are some bots behind.
This could be really some fun and would keep the people in the game. And not fool them out with like 3 or 4 directions form where they can come. And an insane amount of Ballistas in every fucking map. Because the ballista idea was actually created for strategus and not for the normal game mods. And you finally would have a map where you can get to Tincans again. And would have a learning curve for the people who just startet to play the game.

Another thing is remove it that allied horses get killed after defeating a wave. would be fun to ride with your own  horse in to battle in some of the maps.

Pretty much maps where it is not always the tactics the most important thing. That fun is in the middle of everything. Because you have to make sure that everybody knows how to play maps. Because in some maps people are just run around because they re bored from shieldwall. And simply they are not made for makeing any tactics. So it is better to join in with leech equipment then playing this nonsense. You need some maps there are easy to play and where people can learn something. Of course nobody want to wear heavy armour when it is pointless because you can not do real tactics because the map is simply are not playable. You can keep then in but a variation of maps would  be nice this also counts for eu_2. Placing everywhere ballistas is not the key to keep people in the game. The fun is the most important thing.

It would make some of the plain ground maps playable fips. Because you cant do any shieldwall so that you come maximal to like wave 5 or 6. And then the team loses and we get new map. So its pointless one way or another.

Change this and look how things will work out. More people will play again.

So actually the upkeep should not be decreased. it is more the problem of makeing it playable fips. What is your job now because you sit now in Developer office with chadz. :wink:

Can you remember panos there was a guy who was saying he don't wants that much plate amour in strategus rounds anymore.  :lol: Everything what you do panos has an effect on other people in your world.

Well, you could always have a separate exp/gold bonus at the end of the round based on performance.

Only problem after that would be defining what good performance actually is, but it's easier with cRPG's end-of-round system vs NI's per-kill system.
