I don't expect Godus to ever be finished. It's Molyneux after all... :D

I played it once to set some houses up, then logged in a month later and theyd turned it into a city. Shame its just a click fest imo.

They "fixed" the clicking part. You hold the mouse button now and just swipe over the other "belief".

Like me I don't think you need an FAQ to tell you that you'll probably get burned by early access if you've participated in one already.
-
Well no shit... everybody knew that already
Just how long will this early acess fad gonna last, not too long I predict, once people get burned more and more playing in never ending beta this whole system is gonna crash. Also how fair is it to a consumer to sell an unfinished product that might never be finished in the first place? Plus they have a perfect excuse for basically anything that goes wrong, hey it's beta/early acess it's not finished dude, ring a bell?

I am not completely against early access, but it too has turned into an unrelenting trend like Kickstarter projects. And to be honest, it would be stupid for anyone to expect all early access games to be eventually completed. That would be too much of a pretentious presumption. Undoubtedly, some of those are definitely bound to bite the dust before ever becoming complete final products.

It's not like quality of "finished" games released by publishers is any better. At least with early access tag they can't sell you gazillion DLCs for small fortune. Watchdogs is "properly" made and released game yet it is buggy as hell, half of stuff isn't working as advertised, some design choices are just poor and they already ask more than for the all stuff they are selling.
Early access kinda suck atm, but it's not worse than traditional publishing model in any way. Maybe those unfinished projects might turn open-source in the future, that would be a good thing. That never happens with publishers.
Example: Infamous and unfinished project, DayZ is more fun and less broken than Watchcrap and any other crap released on PC by Ubisoft.

There is a reason they had to include this in their FAQ, not everyone knew that.
There are a huge amount of retards who do not understand ( or don't bother to read anything about what they're buying into ) the concept of early access buys and alpha/beta game states and then whine and bitch about the game "being broken" and having their money "stolen", along with people bitching about games not being finished quick enough, as if their early access purchase means the devs should be able to release the game in a fully finished state in no time at all.
Now imagine the tears of these same retards when the dev team of an early access game they've purchased announces they will not be able to "finish" a game.
-
Yeah, I agree. People being retarded and not able to think for themselves is source of all evils.

Well this is a bit over exaggerated to say the least.

I first started commenting on how shitty that trend over 2 years ago. People still pay to be suckered and as long as they do, there will be people willing to take their money.
