War spear. Used to be one of the weaker yet viable weapons back in the day and basically no one used it. (maybe wasnt weaker but the average skill was shit compared to today so anything with good cut would reck the entire server)

That was one of my favorites as well.  I did a whole gen with the Iron War Axe and no shield.  It was fun as hell and a real challenge.  I love that you can flip it over and use pierce damage against heavy armor.  It's a great weapon. 

It's also very heavy and doesn't get weapon stunned like most 1h.

Danish. Its pretty shit now but i still stick with it. Its hard to explain, i like the way it feels in my pixel hands.

We had some good years, my Danish and I. I always come back to it after brief experimentation. Its a special bro love, no homo.

My favorite 1H is the knife. It is the only item I have loomed myself and never traded.

It's not another dagger, it's a tiny ass sword. As long as you have 5+ PS and decent wpf, it will wreck anyone not wearing plate. It's a great backup weapon for ranged or long polearm users. With a shield you can face hug and outspam anyone. I also like the model. It looks like a common kitchen knife. The kind that serial killers use in horror movies.  :twisted:

My favorite polearm is the long awlpike (as several others have voted).

Masterwork Long Awlpike
Speed:90
Length:185
Thrust:35 pierce
Swing:23 blunt

90 speed isn't great, but it's just on the lower edge of viable in 1v1 situations. You won't beat a fast and skilled fighter, but some wonky stabs and judicious use of overheads will take down many players. In team combat it can't be matched. 185 length is shorter than a pike or longspear, but it outreaches basically anything else on a stab. It is amazing as a support weapon. I have 8 PS and that's enough to one-hit-kill many people if you can get a single thrust to connect. If you are farther away, a straight thrust to the body or legs will do well. If you are getting forced into close combat a foot or head stab can hit when a straight-forward body stab would glance. It's the spear-type weapon that "feels right" to me.

Red tassel spear is a close second, and I feel like it's the polearm version of the longsword. Speed to match many smaller 2H and even some 1H weapons, but with greater reach. Great as a 4D weapon, but the thrust is good enough that can work very well on an agile hoplite. I'd take it over a war spear any day.

I used it back when I was 24/15 shielder on siege, got a 38/4 round once with it which was sick. I am actually very curious how it works out with the new 1h right swing, so I think imma roll that build again for fun on an alt.  8-)

Didnt have it loomed and it already hit like a truck, can only imagine what it'd do loomed up!

Great Long Bardiche, has nostalgia value. Was great as a full-str weapon, with a great reach, huge damage, and the animation made it look faster than it really is. Good ol' days before the STR nerf.

Think I'll go for the English Bill. It's very pretty, powerful and looks tough. Very fun to play with, at least before the turn-rate nerf. :wink:

in crpg? Lightsaber EASY ( longsword bastard, hbs, anyone will do )...outside of the lightsaber family?

Lucerne hammer! , hands down, it handles everything and anything. well, actually it can take a bit to take down shields, but meh.

( pfff get your names right, the proper Bec is used beak ONLY with a flat blunt side for balancing, the lucerne hammer is a combo of the bec and a warhammer, perhaps the easiest way to tell a Bec from a Lucerne hammer, is the blunt side, while the Bec has a flat blunt side rarely used, the Lucerne had a blunt side, with 3 prongs of steel jutting out )

good speed, nice length, yet still short enough for CQC, exceptional against cav, very good against anything else. and for a weapon that ignores armor, 37 is a great amount of dmg

Of course Iberian Mace since it has nice knockdown, decent range and nice speed
and although spathovaklion has 1 more speed, I believe that the animation of iberian is still faster

heavy bastard sword is also a trusty and fast companion, especially in duels.

long hafted blade super spammy, great pole (but USELESS on horse  :mrgreen:)

1. fucking beautiful and intimidating

1 hand: Military Hammer- It has a deceptively long reach with a good amount of blunt damage. Also the knockdown and its odd swing speed are what make this my preferred one hand.

Pole: Pike-By far the best support weapon in the game. You may not get that crazy k/d but one good pikeman can make the winning difference on the battlefield. or Long Bardiche- Between its swing speed and high cut damage it is a fun weapon to play with.

2hand: Studded Warclub- There is nothing like running around the battlefield bludgeoning enemys with an over-sized baseball bat. The entertainment value of this weapon is drastically increased if you type home run in caps after every kill.

Changing mine to my real favorites which are the long spear for pissing plate guys off when they are fighting and then get pissed at me when i swing faster then them and my second favorite is the swiss halberd which is a good all round wep, long good cav stopper and its balanced which makes for rly easy blocking (i wish the long spear was balanced because then those bundle of sticks face huggers would be done for since id be able to block the first attack too) and feinting (for before the () the feinting was meant to be but my phone. is being a bitch and wont let me get up there

Anyway, my favourite weapon.. hmm...

Either

Long Spear - Terrific reach and piss-off-potential, good damage but still good 1v1 capabilities due to lolstabbing.
Awlpike/Ranseur - Amazing damage, perfect reach for either supporting from med-range or lolstabbing without problems. Speed is decent as well.
Poleaxe - Good for duels, nice cut damage, and blunt with knockdown against armour crutchers, and awesome pierce stab, combined with decent reach.

But I think I will settle for the almighty

Wooden Stick - Awesome speed, people underestimate you until you crush their bones with that beast of a weapon. Knockdown to annoy them even more. And ultimate humiliation for the defeated, especially if he is wearing heavy armour. What other weapon gives you the satisfaction of bashing someone to pulp with a wooden log?
