Title: Flaming Katana explained

Most of you probably remember this http://forum.melee.org/general-discussion/remove-flamming-katana/

I managed to get my hands on a Flaming Katana and the devs removed it from my inventory after not long. Later I managed to get another one. I let it rot and dry in my inventory for 10 months, until recently. I got bored and decided to put it up for auction.

The rest explains itself really. I'm sorry for the mess it caused.

It's all been worked out. Apparently Apsod is going to by drawn and quartered and for some as yet unknown reason... me too.

Couldn't you fucking post it before the shit got real and people started selling their stuff and got fucked? Srsly, so irresponsible... and why did you have it in the first place?!

EDIT: Also why didn't fucking devs respond to Macropus's topic to cool the situation before shit hit the fun?!

Not really. Everyone's free to do anything with one's property.
The problem is that:
1) Devs let Apsod get this item in one way or another
2) Devs didn't stop the auction and all this high bidding although they could

Just giving the gold back is really a shitty option because it doesn't compensate for anything.

PS: not saying it wasn't incredibly stupid to bid so much money though

Let's just accept that Apsod is to be drawn and quartered.

And focus back onto the important issue. Making sure I don't get drawn and quartered as well...

Thats what I did the first time I got my hands on the sword. Decided not to do that the second time.

There was no way for him or for anyone else to use it in game, it'd get deleted instantly.

Anyone else wondering how someone manages to get a dev item not once, but TWICE? Without them figuring it out? I think he has someone on the inside. I mean you kinda have to have someone on the inside to have gotten it the first time. But for the second time...I mean you must REALLY have some kind of influence or intrigues going on.

everyone thought it was the devs trying to fuck up crpg economics (wich worked anyways)... and now a chinese farmer had a heartattack for loosing 11 million gold

whatever thx for low loompoint prices the last 2 days  :D
