It's kind of an end of an era for me.  BF1942/2/2142 are the games that got me into PC gaming.  I'm not embarrassed to admit that either.

Last EA game I bought was BF 3 and it'll be last for sure.
Fucking greedy motherfuckers released that game with 5 maps or someshit...
Then sold "DLC" its so fancy to call 2 maps + 2 retarded weapons a DLC though.

Make a shit-short singleplayer + add few multiplayer maps, sell for 100 dollars !
Wait a month add 2 more maps, sell for 20 dollars
Wait another month add 2 maps and a vehicle ta da another 20 fucking dollars
Helloo check this out now you can be premium and do lots of nerdy shits you won't ever do FOR FREE and all upcoming DLC robberies will be free of charge from you if you become a premium by paying 60 dollars now !

Back in my days the game you paid for was full, we weren't buying demo/trial versions of games for full price.
That marketing... People are so used to get robbed, they don't care anymore lol...

And ofc. as the greedy bastards they are they wont even bother setting up new servers ...

Had a few PSP games back in the day run by EA, when few people (around 60+) played on their online servers they shut them down. Compared to Sacrifice which was released in 2000 had still a server up and running. Only sad thing is that you needed dx8 to play with the one guy who was online :D

Same. I still play BF2 mods as they have a large player base and 200 player servers.

I think this is bullshit, we pay for a game and now they deny us part of what we paid for. These fucking assholes only wanna rip players off. I will pirate their games from now on, but why even bother, all their new games are pretty shitty anyway. Harun you are completely right, we are getting too used to paying 20 dollars for crap that should be added for a free with a patch. And maps??? Wtf? How can you call a map a DLC? They left out community modding tools on purpose, so that people couldn't make maps themselves, so that they could make more money by releasing maps for 20 dollars a piece...
