Title: Where would you go if your country/state had a disaster?

Was just wondering, what if the borders of safe asylum and danger change? The possibility of some kind of national disaster or trouble could happen anywhere. How would you want to be treated if the safest place for you to be was a neighbouring country?

I don't really know what kind of disaster is likely to happen here, and where I'd want to flee. But I'd hope there would be somewhere safe to go. It's easy not to think about it when I'm safe and sound, but I've been thinking about it more recently. Where would I turn? And would I be able to get there?

Makes sense, unless the disaster is a massive temperature drop coming from the direction of the North :D

I would get called in for the catastrophe relief effort, and I would most likely perish in the ensuing cataclysm.

Of course if I was to ignore the call of duty I would probably make my way down to alpine territory and enjoy the benefits of my Austrian citizenship.

Then again spending the rest of my days in the vast forest 100 yards from my house feels oddly compelling.

I would just go to a country where I would like to travel, like GB or France and just stay there and enjoy the time like it was vacation. (You have to make the best out of everything)

Bascially the only "Disaster" any of us will face which might well cause us to move away from our homes is of course Climate Change, if you live on the coast or in low lying areas you really need to think long and hard about your future. Good luck people.

If my state (Hawaii) had disaster, I would go back to California to chill with the homies... I miss San Francisco and my hometown Santa Cruz.

If the whole country was fubar, My first choice would be Germany, I've never been to any europeish area but Germany seems pretty chill, and I swear they have the hottest chicks in their pron.
Runner ups would probably be Canada and New Zealand, two other spots I've never been but want to travel to.

if you ever had a disaster you would never make it off your damn island.  Tsunami would sweep that lil island, a super volcano would shit lava over everything, and a zombie apocalypse, well as an american you understand we would have to blow up the whole island, a noble sacrifice.

Well Norway probably... Or even Sweden (oh noes I hope it never gets that bad :rolleyes:). I could take all my stuff with me to these nearby countries. If I decided to leave all my shit behind and only take my guitars and some other beloved things, I would maybe want to try Britain, Germany, Austria, some nice state in 'murrica or Canada.. Everybody loves Canada :)
