Title: Run speed

In cloth armor with a scimitar, a dagger and a shield I weigh about 6-7 pounds. My Athletics is 7. Regardless if they have 8 or even 9. How is it that a guy wearing full plate, carrying an enormous poleaxe that happens to be a magically light 2.8 pound weapon.. can outrun me? WTH is going on. Please consider this carefully.

After some testing I figure it's the shield speed penalty that might be a little too draconian, specially when I'm using the lightest shield possible..

long reach I bet

Edit: I was in cloth armor with a knife and I still out ran Bob's 15/27 build with 6 ath.

he is 12/30, not 15/27.
