Title: More Admins

Hey, I'm starting this thread because we need a new wave of admins. A lot of our current admins don't play the game actively enough or not at all.
I think we should get some oldtimers who still actively play and who the community in general trusts. About 5 new admins should do.

Yes but I guess its an absolute pain in the ass to admin here

Admins should have more power, more strict and bans should be longer. People seem to take the piss with some reason being that the community is small so you can get away with more

Agreed, often enough there are no admins online, especially now that everybody seems to be playing Dark Souls. People go apeshit on the servers 24/7.

Stated this problem in the IRC Chat some days ago, because I really share your opinion.
There are alot of admins, but most are not playing actively. Especially siege lacks admins as Erz has left.

Exactly, nobody can tell me that people like Karasu, Muri or Desire etc are bad admins.

They are terrific admins, even though they are in clans.

Elmuri and Fips play there often tho. But few more admins wouldn't hurt.

I think Panos is actually mature enough to be admin if he wants to be, he just doesn't want to  :mrgreen:

Adminning isn't exactly rocket science, you could appoint pretty much anyone. I don't think this game needs more admins though, at least not on battle. The game governs itself decently enough. Perhaps you need leech or grief police on DTV or Siege, but ban requests do the trick as well.

When I play I rarely see something that needs an admin's attention, but we could probably do with more as people get burned out or play other games. Plus I don't feel admins are given enough respect in general and have to hand out tiny bans to the same guys and have public threads where you get drama over the tiniest thing. Looks like a job for masochists

Herewith I'd like to apply for the position of an admin since I'm a very experience player and witnessed all kinds of playing (low lvl/low armor/heavy guys/ranged/meele......) I think I know how to react when some guys play like they do and that I'm able to find the best solution in this case. Also there is no admin yet who is a duck so I guess the time has come to Quack the rules. There were aswell some experiences I made with the rules so I ve a better understanding of them. I'm not the guy for the right words so don't blame me =o

You can appoint more admins, but the same will probably happen, they go AFK and never really play. I think the problem is that the people who are the most active, I.e. play every day generally are of a younger origin.

Its very rare to find someone who is mature and sensible who plays everyday, because they are too mature and sensible that they realise c-rpg is not worth their time.

For myself I can tell you, that I've been playing this game for 3 years now and there was not a single time I stopped playing for a longer while. Longest break was my 2 weeks ban when I acted the complete other way of "maturity"...credits to Armbrust_Manne who made me learn a lesson, worth it! :)
Imo there are alot of people in this Community who would be a good choice to become admins. The perfect mix of maturity and activeness...and what else is the Trial Period for, if not for testing possible new admins?

Here`s my suggestions for admins.

Tommyy, PolePoop, Chase, KingGylpe, Torben, sirCymro.

All of the above mentioned players, are veterans never caused any problems and they`re liked by almost everyone, which is a major plus!

I cant stress enough what a nice guy Torben is, if anyone he would certainly be one of the players that would, imo, be a good mod.

Im getting tired of this shit with new players. They just do whatever they want when they want. Count with me if you need an admin. I got experience as admin of the biggest Day of defeat server in spain and always in the top 10 in the world (that was a bunch of years ago, actually quit day of defeat to play warband). I ve been playing this game since day 1. I know how to handle idiots. Game doesnt make me rage and shit. I believe im fair and never had a complaint on me while playing crpg. I prefer being in the shadow and only acting when its really required. Oh and Im over 30....This is not a Epenis thing for me, i just want to play in peace.

You took over a duty with some responsibilities. You should fulfill them to stay in your duty....

Just cause a player is admin doesn't mean he has to play the game, he only has to fulfill his duties when he is actually playing.

it means that the list of admins looks full but in reality is just 3-5 admins that are active. Not all of the work should be on them.

I don't think more admins wouldn't do any harm, especially for dtv, if there's good candidates for it. However, on battle and maybe siege the situation is quite cool, I seldom have to do any admin job there. Or maybe I have just become a worse admin and don't see anything.

Not sure if it's because when I play, I get dragged in by Khorin, Suspektum or Elmuri, but there always seems to be an abundance of admins on EU1.

The double F's (Fried & Fin) play regularly on EU1 but of course again, I haven't any idea about how things are on EU2 etc.
Patoson is online quite often too, usually playing DTV from my understanding, but of course, I don't know of more than one admin who is effectively a DTV only admin so taht might have some grey areas.

I should add, I am not against more admins, I'm just giving my view of the current coverage. :)

No seriously, EU2 is bit empty now, but sometimes there are like 50 ppl playing ~ but also some trolls just running around the map and doing nothing - but noone here, how bout me for a trial - i guess not?

Well, nobody else likes to do his Job there, i want to do it myself or atleast have a chance to.
I would be totally fine if there would be an competent admin on eu2 sometimes - but there just isnt.
Rather have done it by myself instead by someone else, thats all.

Too bad you cant do that admin-permission server sticking.
