No, Keep the ruins map. 2 (8.3%)
4) No rain, fog, night, etc. Purfuct weather onlyWeather effects are decided server wide and have nothing to do with the map itself, which is why you have a little weather indicator on your character page. Map only decides which form the weather takes, rain -> snow, fog -> agent orange.
Just need a larger arena map. Shouldn't be too hard, maybe one of the scene editors can make another with a diameter 2x the size of the current one. There is no shortcut for enlarging maps, would require dragging and enlarging all the items or adding more items, would be more work than making one from scratch. Still leaves the question why. Does having empty spectator benches make duelling more epic?

People want a larger map to practice siege, but for the rest of the time Ruins is too big really, people spawn too far away.
The best compromise would be a map like ruins where the spawn are all just set much closer. So duelers can duel and not have to run across the map, but siege practice can still happen elsewhere.
This could work for ruins or if they had an extended arena with an *outside* for siege and strat but everyone spawned inside still for duels.
I like it, but the center needs entrances for people wanting to duel, instead of having to jump over the wall.

Arena type maps aren't really my expertise (not that any type of map is ) and I usually need some kind of inspiration to hit me for a map. Nevertheless, I threw a little something together because it's easier for me to make a map than it is for me to sketch one in paint. =P(click to show/hide)
That's what I wanted !
Neat work and please add bullseye targets for archers to practice aswell.
That arena is small and those walls are unnecessary I think.
Thanks for doing that mate.
bullseye targets for archers to practice aswell. You really think an archer is going to join the duel server and shoot at a bullseye target?
You really think an archer is going to join the duel server and shoot at a bullseye target?Well, it's convenient for accuracy tests(effective accuracy is more than simply reticule size). I doubt too many people will do it, but there are already people who do range/accuracy tests on the duel server as is, might as well give them an actual target to shoot at(put the bullseye outside of the keep).
Guess i could throw in thranduils map, ruins probably never got actually chosen to be the map for duel anyway.Well, I'll go ahead and upload it then. Gimme 5 minutes. =P
Training groundsdammit.... 1 minute earlier.... well, I like all of those better than "Duel_T",
Donkey's academy <-- If we get a rotation, I'll make a castle type map and call it this
Thranduil's training dojo <-- for this one
Fips please don't break this one
Buff me
The Land of QQ <-- and if I do a dungeon type map
Just a couple of suggestions of the top of my head
ffs so where peps can practice with catapults?
ruins are the best because of multiple reasons, there is space for everyone to do whatever they want. Imagine some newcomer trying to bulid to se what is that, peoples will burn him on stick before he realize what they want from him, cav duels will be pointles on such small map, there is just way to many drawbacks with that map.
topics like that meakes me mad because i realize how stupid peoples are or egocentric enough to ignore needs of other peoples on purepose

Soooo....visitors can't see pics , please register or login(click to show/hide)
****EDIT****
So yeah, it feels too empty without something there, so I threw in a much smaller wall set. Only enough room for 2 people to duel inside it, and plenty of room to fight around it. Plus a few rocks and some steppe grass.(click to show/hide)
You really think an archer is going to join the duel server and shoot at a bullseye target?Yes ! It's for weight-wpf tests. I already had a suggestion thread about it here (http://forum.melee.org/suggestions-corner/add-a-bullseye-practice-target-to-duel-server/msg978574/#msg978574)

So take you horsies outside. There's a bridge and plenty of room out of the arena. And the good news is, it won't be a long run on a horse! We burn newcomers at theI was talking about arena(there is only one true arena in warband) , not about map that you made.stickstake regardless, and visitors can't see pics , please register or login
... err.. I mean 4 construction sites. You don't have to build a catapult if you don't want to. People usually bring their own construction site. I'm just placing construction sites and material sites to make it cheaper and quicker (of course, I can't test whether or not they will function without them being server side, but I'm hopeful).
As for what was a tiny text that I've blown up, I made this map based on what people posted in this topic. It's been here for 2 weeks. If you had an opinion or suggestion, you've had plenty of opportunities to give it. Just saying.
