Title: New Shulus attack

Kingrimm wrote me this
Hi lads,

BaleOhay the most efficient way to trade is either by dumping goods into each others fiefs on call or by exclusive fief exchange.

So i dropped my goods. Which was followed by "I thank you for your sign of trust and convidence." Then nothing but silence. We waited and sent messages without a response. So this attack is our response to being robbed. Send this Thief back home. Who is with me?

I don't see what this situation between BaleOhay and Kingrimm has to do with me though.

thanks everyone who came out. Really sorry it was not a fight. We were hoping to have some fun. first up is Fenris_Iwein. He is unarmed so free peasant gear fight incoming!

Sorry - I had to sell some of the eu goods they left to fully equip the 1800 troosp they gave us. For some reason they hadnt left almost any gear in the village except less thana 100 broken weapons of various types. Feel free to sell in ichamur, dashbigha, or distar castle - you should amke it their before we get back to sell and the tax rate is a lot lower than shulus. Sorry again.

Thanks to all the people who signed up for us. Sorry neither battle were any fun. We will use the troops and goods to hopefully have a fun fight or two with them soon.

Post by: Bryggan on May 01, 2014, 09:20:53 am: We, the 13 knights, originally took the fief from the bloody awful bastardly AI. This is our first real strat so we weren't sure what to do. With Acre next to us, plus Fenris being totally wonderful to us when we were booted to Europe, we offered Acre vassalage just to have friends and to have enemies to fight, and were pressured to give up New Shulus to Fenris.

I really, really didn't want to. We took New Shulus because we knew it was a money maker. And Gawd it did make money. But Kingrimm is probably one of the most awesome guys ever, and master of diplomacy. 13K were independent then, and new at Strat, and a little frightened by the big clans around us. I struggled to keep New Shulus, but Kingrimm won me over with his excellent letters. That and the fact I had no desire to sit in a fief and count ledgers etc.

So quite frankly I'm happy New Shulus is in NA hands, but sorta miss Kinngrim. He role played, which apparently is rare here. I often reread his messages. Damn, I tried rattling my sabre and he responded with kindness. The guy was a master of diplomacy, I could not help but agree with what he said.

But in many ways I'm glad I gave up New Shulus. We took all the money, the gear (including that which Fenris put in there for its own defense) and a lot of troops they had transferred, and with that we took New Slekhz castle. And while fief ownership is awesome, I'm liking war a hell of a lot more. I could be sitting in a fief counting silver, but instead I'm in the desert making DSE life's hell. About to take another fief. War is awesome, peace sucks.
