Waste of build. Naked man takes two jarids and lives to tell the tale. Man in Deli Robe takes three jarids and lives to tell the tale. Another man was a ghost where jarids would travel directly through him, he also lived to tell the tale.

..hey , throwing is just sidearm. don't worry - be happy.
-
yea throwing is in need of a major buff, theres already a few threads about it.
however, 21/18 build, 7 PT and 4 throwing lances is the funnest build in the mod, while being a 1-shotting death machine
-
7-8PT is better. Jarids are still good.
Other throwing weapons on the other hand...

..but i don't want 7-8pt ..except you give me the option for instant lvl 36. & especially not if 5pt is jarid's min req. & especially not if "good" is in relative.
..and i got in the other hand a jarid too.

Better than every other throwing weapon by a large margin. You choose 5PT, you're going to get 5PT damage. It may be a little (or a lot) better next patch if some of my proposals get through, though.

SAID THE ITEM BALANCER! 8-)

I didn't say which ones 'other throwing weapons' were =)

I seem to do better/more damage/kills with heavy throwing axes than jarids.
The point is you can do good with 5PS, 5PD, 5Riding etc etc. 5PT just seems weak compared.

Are those loomed jarids?
I'm a pure thrower and I tried for the first time the 15/24 agi throwing shit (usually go 30/9 stones tosser)
With MW jarids I still do plenty of dmg with great accuracy and even with rocks I can manage my way
But I must say the buff to accuracy was not balanced with the HUGE nerf in dmg...
Better get mw throwing hammer!!

HTAs don't deal more damage. Jarids deal 30% more damage, but they do deal less damage than HTAs under 22 armour. 15-24 also only deals 2-3 points less than 21-18, it's just that it feels that the 5PT build's advantages outside of athletics feel similar enough to just take the extra PT. 15-24 is great for HT though.
Better performance? Perhaps, but that would definitely surprise me.
Are you certain you aren't receiving a damage penalty from hitting limbs? I forget the specific numbers, but two 74 raw damage shots against a lightly armoured opponent resulted in something like... 20 damage on the first hit and 40 on the second (I'm fuzzy on the exact numbers, but I remember dealing twice as much final damage).

..theory , stats & numbers almost sounds "good" , i don't care anymore - but for all that ..thx for your job after all san.

+ playing the classes
-
I've got 6 Power Throw and Masterwork Jarids.
Threw 2 Jarids into a naked man's chest and he turned around and ran away (super fast so he cannot have loads of IF)
-
Arrows have been doing more than javelins/jarids to me lately. Run around in a dress, an arrow can almost blackbar me while a throwing weapon (aside from a lance) only does like 1/3 to 1/2. Even the axes don't really feel like much when not having armour...

throwing is currently how it should be in my opinion.
throwing should not be able to be a main class that somebody plays, it should be a side arm that people can grab to quick chuck before the main scrim. There is very little reasons for chucky builds were he outruns everybody while being able to 2 shot people wearing anything.

Don't I see you in battle with plate n' maul going 25-2?

I find throwing very fun in this game, even since M&B multiplayer was in beta.
About the damage.
I have 24 str with 8 pt. and Throwing at 107.
Cock_blockula was running around naked one round and was able to take a lance to the chest without getting one shooted.
And except for low levels, lances don't one shoot anyone.
The do 2 shoot most people though.
I'm not asking for buffs, I don't really care, but lances one shooting is just not true.
