Title: How do you deal with S-Key Heroes?

This is dealing with specifically polearm users, but if you have good information regarding all s-keyers, feel free to post.

Whenever I'm running about the battlefield, I generally run into someone who likes to s-key, forcing me to work harder to kill them than another enemy. Depending on how fast they're moving I can usually catch up to the ones who have less agility than me, but I was wondering what some of you guys do when fighting the quick, pesky opponents. Facehugging is out of my playbook against the higher agility people.

I've run through my head some ideas to try, but I hope I can get some creative solutions from the community.
It also helps if you post your build :D

I'm 18/18, 6 IF, 6 PS, 6 ATH, 6 WM; 135 wpf in 2h, and I use a MW HBS (2h is hard)
I also generally wear medium/medium-heavy armor (8.0 -> 16.0)

I already understand many of the suggested strategies, I was just hoping that someone had an "aggressive" way of dealing with s keyers.

only try to swing at them when you are 100% sure to land a hit?

Idk its just mostly chasing them around, no real tactic.. Fighting an skeyer isnt hard its just extremely boring, which makes you make silly mistakes. ( or i do, :p)

get some throwing skill and throw spears, axes or insults at their head when they s-key to much.

Get a higher effective reach.
By effective reach I mean the combo of weapon reach and your movements, so if you have a lot of athletics you can have a good effective reach even with a short weapon, if you're slow however you need a longer one. Just choose what makes you confident with your reach.

If they are s-keying and right swinging you really just need to keep blocking when they swing until in reach, don't hold attacks or blocks since that'll slow you down. You'll clear the distance to attack them a lot faster and with a HBS just lay in with spam, s-keyers can't block.

If you are dealing with an s-key piker (every other polearm user, every Strat battle) you can just charge into glance-range of them unless they are good at up-down lolpiking which will hit you from point blank range, while they are backpedaling, for full damage, which is the worst kind of s-key. I highly suggest overhead chambering these people while W-keying. Many S-key heros of this type also do 360 jump lolthrusts as part of their technique, you can spam through this.

Basically my solution to most s-keying when I am using HBS is to get into sweetspot range and just spam offensively, cancel out of swings to block at last second if necessary.

Stabs are your longest attack, but will often glance at long range against an S keyer. Frustratingly, the w-keyer will take full damage from an s-keyers stab because of "Warband Speed Bonus Mechanics Logic.* So stabs are pretty garbage most of the time.

I like to rush them (you'll need to block a few hits) and then when you get close, nudge them.  The nudge stops them from moving all crazily and you can set up an attack or a nice feint-attack.

The trouble often is that they s-key until they draw you away from your friends and into more enemies.  In those cases you have to hang back a bit.  You can S-key yourself to make them chase you, and then unexpectedly rush in.  Sometimes that works.

You can also take some throwing skill...when they back off too far, slam a throwing axe into their face.  That works too.

Really fun thing to do as 1 hander. Many people dont know the powers behind 1h nudge. If you perform an attack nudge (I think it can be any direction) while they have an attack out and are s keyying you knock em on their ass. So here's a scenario: you have 1h, opponent has a glaive.  He s keys whilst holding maybe he even spins. But if u are sure he will hold, hug close and do an attack nudge after he begins his hold. Not many people know about this. If practiced it can be done fast and catch em off guard.

I have more trouble with agility polearm S-keyers than any other class, especially when they are sideswinging with a War Spear or similar. Those damn spear sideswings go right around shield blocks and hit way faster than they should. This was the one scenario where hybrid throwing was awesome, but I don't have throwing anymore so I usually chase them and take a stab to the face with full speed bonus while they outreach my 1h stab (even though I theoretically have 10+cm more max stab reach than them, it's not "useful" reach because it takes forever to extend that far and glances anyway).

If I had more discipline, I'd pretend to disconnect every time they started S-keying. That would lure them back.

I usually just turn around and go back to my teammates.
But if they insist on being a pest, I just throw a Jarid in their face.

I get so frustrated when I'm trying to duel an xbow or an archer and I know im better im gay, but they hold down the s key with a 1her or some shit and still kill me because I make silly mistakes when the duel is so long and the problem is if I run away, ill just get fucking shot
