I might play with an alternative character as 2hander cavalry. I was thinking of using Lon iron mace at first, but then I saw Persian Battle Axe with 49 cut damage
I can get a +3 weapon, so it's 35 blunt versus 52 cut.
What are your thoughts on it. What kind of weapons would be better for 2hand cavalry nowadays? Those 2 seemed particularly good to me.

Longsword for versatility
Bardiche for pure dmg an shock
Shortened mili sytche for reach
Using anything else as 2h cav is stupid.

Morningstar

I used the persian but for me the hit timing was somewhat strange so I switched to longsword which is also nice for stabbing (does persian battle axe have overhead in cav mode? Longsword does).
Try non loomed first before you buy a +3

Use a HBS, Longsword, or Morningstar. Everything else is bad in comparison. Longsword is the easiest/most well rounded, and Morningstar is the most powerful.
Alternatively, use whatever 2hander you like using as infantry, if it is horseback capable. So you can derp around as cav and kill a few, then fight as regular 2hander for the rest of the match.
Any weapon on horseback hits like a truck, so just use whatever is fun.
I use a lance with ~90 WPF in polearms, and a HBS personally. Lancing a few fools at the start and switching to 2hand cav when the melee gets whirling owns.
