I think the nudge timer got reduced by half or something, which makes it possible to kinda spam it, which again sux donkeybals in my opinion.
what do you think?
Cheers

Before, you only had one chance to nudge if you were in team combat (battle, siege, strat). Your or your target would probably be dead before the timer expired unless you were fighting 1v1. I still think the new cooldown is a little fast. It should be somewhere between the current and old timer.
-
If you play your cards right, you never even have to block anymore, just nudge during your opponent's attack. I don't think that was the intent.
-
I kind of liked the longer timer outside of rolls, felt like you truly had to make each one hit.
-
I'd be fine with the old timer if rolls got a separate timer.
Nudge hit detection still seems a bit wonky with board shields/other larger shields or on slanted terrain, but the new cooldown still makes 1 vs many much more interesting for shielders.

There is a timer for rolls?

Yeah, the animations of the neutral and offensive shield nudges would indicate that their reach is a function of shield height, but that doesn't appear to be the case. I use the neutral shield shove a ton, but about a third of the time it inexplicably whiffs and I usually get hit as a result.

New nudge timer is cool imo.
Since gamespeed is horrificly low and people know how to block,it's good to have something to spice up the gameplay.
-
You can suffer a hit during a nudge. It's not so OP.
Nudge is more dangerous than a simple block.
-
please don't change it, it is the only thing that makes bumfucked hoplites & two-handed spearmen somewhat possible to play
-
I wouldn't mind seeing points in shieldskill reduce the glacial chasm between "I pressed V" and "my character nudged."
While we're talking nudge, do the stats of shield have any affect on its nudge speed/damage/knockback/target radius?

Shield bash damage comes from strength / 3 + shield skill * 2 as raw damage. The defensive shield bash currently divides damage by 5.
21-18: 19 raw
18-24: 22 raw
12-30: 24 raw
aka 0 damage 99% of the time.

Thanks for the info. What about the neutral shield bash? I assume it's blunt damage?
I kill people with the neutral nudge all the time (21 str, 7 shield), mostly when I hit their head and they are wearing <40 armor helm.
-
When I tested the damage, I didn't know you could aim it up/down at the time, so I don't think I ever hit the head then. It's likely it's blunt, but I don't really know.
Neutral/attacking bash is what you see (you probably have 23 raw). If it's the defensive nudge, divide by 5 for 4-5 raw.

Groovy, thanks!
