Title: Favorite Weapons Thread!

I'm looking for a general outlook of preffered weapons in cRPG nowadays.
Post your favorite weapons for the following categories:

Feel free to suggest more than one (or only some of them) and list your reasons. And remember: No hating!
Even 2 handers/rondelers!


I'll start:

1 Handers: Italian Sword, Elite Scimitar, Fighting Axe
2 Handers: Bar Mace, Miaodao
Polearms: Long Bardiche, Poleaxe, Long Axe

The poleaxe and elegant poleaxe. You can do a nifty "feint" type thing by rapidly switching the modes of it, and the knockdown is hilarious. Same with the bec de corbin knockdown.

Totally, but it is not a proper Zweihander/Bass Cannon. Wish the devs put it in, I'd love it to death.

1H: Light arming sword because it's a 0 slot w/ great stats, and ridiculous speed (102 unloomed). Really good for a hybrid thrower / shielder or archer / melee 
2H: Fighting axe because it's a 1 slot 2h, looks awesome on my belt and gives room for 3 more +3 jarids. Also enjoy the HBS because it's so damn fast and yet not weaboo.
Polearm: Don't use often, but long spears are fun to use in strat and long war axe is fun w/ spammy build, feels like huscarl in native.
Bow: Rus bow because it has the best "twanging" sound.
Throwing: Jarids because they are the best throwing weapon.

I loomed one in 2012, it was my first melee weapon loom. I have never traded it. Beyond nostalgic value, it's actually a great weapon. The lack of blocking means it works best as a backup/last resort weapon if you don't have a shield. Loomed, it has 32 cut and 113 speed. With 5+ power strike and a shield it is just as good as "real" 1H swords.

Favorite 2H: Flambard

Cheaper than the other greatswords, and swing damage is on par with almost everything else. Baby flamberge!

Favorite Pole: Long Maul

Favorite Bow: Yumi

I have not played archer that much recently, but when I did the yumi was my favorite. It is "meant for" horse archers, and I had one when I was HA. If you can't maneuver in and out of close range with a horse, the missile speed is really hard to get used to. You have to lead ahead of your shots by A LOT. It's not the best, but I like the model and the fact that it has a little more damage with the same draw speed as a horn bow. Also if you have it sheathed with a quarterstaff on your back too, they are the same length and look cool.

1 Handers = Long Arming Sword because it is really cost effective !
2 Handers = Great Bardiche: 50c,amazing reach and good speed. Danish GS: Standart 2h weapon .
Polearms = German Poleaxe: Jack of all trades !
Shields = Steel Shield: For banners that look bad on shield. Triangle shield and elite cav shield
Bow/Crossbow Nomad bow cuz damn cost effective !

2 Handers:
Flamberge, such a beauty, longest unbalanced four directional, so much epicness

Great Maul, very satisfying and actually fairly tricky to play with, dat 46b

Polearms:
Pike, my baby, gotta compensate for something

English Bill, meanest looking blade ever mounted on a stick. Too bad for the terrible overhead hit detection.

Quarter Staff, best performance/price ratio in the game, biggest balance oversight.

1h: Flanged mace or espada eslavona(not the long one)

Bow: Tatarbow

Xbow: Would go for heavy crossbow

Throwing: Throwing lance

Always liked Long Bardiche, both the look and usability. Good reach, good damage, fast enough + shield breaker and not unbalanced
For 1 handers I quite like the Grosses Messer atm. Decent length, speed and damage. The stab lets it down a bit but as a swinging 1 handers its pretty decent
For 2 handers I don't have much preference. Flamberge is pretty fun to use, and the Persian Battle axe is a beast

Shields I don't really mind much. I like the new 3 weight Knightly Kite shield, but not sure if its actually good compared to the others. Light + lasts long enough

2h: Longsword and Danish GS (just love their models, really)
Polearm: Long axe, staffmaster's staff, long maul, swiss halberd, long hafted spiked mace, and bec de corbin
Shield: Heavy round shield

Two Handed: German Greatsword, the most solid and probably the best.
One handed: Knightly arming Sword, a sword that suits for any task!
Crossbow: Crossbow, oh how I loved this weapon!
Bow: Yumi, the best bow for a Horse Archer who can use it.
Horse: Destrier has grown to be my favourite, durable enough to stand alive while it offers good manuever and movement. The best for offensive horseman. Not expensive too.
Polearm: A good old Red tassel spear is your best friend against cavalry, especially with a shield.
Throwing: Darts, take 3 stacks of these and you're basically an archer with a great movement and attack speed.
Shield: Huscarl Shield, the best shield for battle. It has the best coverage and a very good durability, what more shielder can ask for?

As a 2hander I was using mostly 3 weapons, German gs, HBS and Dadao. Also liked morningstar and danish, all of them have really nice models, most of the rest haven't touched even single time.

Among 1h weapons there's so great variety of lovely models that just couldn't decide which ones I liked the most, that's why at some point had 10 or 11 masterwork 1handers, I doubt someone had bigger collection :P But my favourite before Tydeus buffed 1h stab was LEE. And after that - niuweidao :)
