Alright so having played a longsword fighter for almost all of my time on this mod, I'd like something new. Here is what I'm looking for.
I would like to be an agile fighter/crossbowman who can alternate from ranged to melee depending on the situation. Like a sniper, but can alternate to a durable fighter.
- Crossbow
- 1H/2h(?) Sidearm
- Medium Armor
Some Advice I'd like:
- What build? STR/AGIL, etc.
- Advice on what crossbows/bolts are good (I'm a ranged n00bl0rd)
- Any other advice/bugs i should be aware of
I really appreciate all feedback! Thanks in advance.
Edit: Pls help me! :(

Okay I know someone is going to say get Arbalest, but heres my loadout I had and I did pretty damn well (brag) in battle and siege.
Level: 31
Health Points: 53
Strength: 18
Agility: 24
Power Strike: 6
Athletics: 6
Weapon Master: 8
Throw wpf in xbow until you have 150, then put the rest in 1 hand.
Gear:
Helmet less than 2.0 weight
Chest less than 10.0 weight (I like Byrnie)
Gloves Mail mittens/Gauntlets
Boots Rus Cavalry
Crossbow (preferably MW )
Bolts/Steel bolts
Arming sword/any 0 slot 1h
Now, the reason I say you should use the normal xbow is that the advantage of a faster reload time allows more dps. With the crossbow master worked you have enough speed to reload nearly as fast as a long bowman. I know most use the heavy or arbalest, but from what I have experienced the normal crossbows reload speed outweighs the couple extra pierce dmg.
The arming sword I like because of the speed and pierce dmg output. With only 150 wpf in xbow your 1h wpf should be around the same allowing you to swing (spam) as fast as everyone else.

Pretty good advice and build. However, I actually would suggest arbalest, even above the heavy xbow. It does nasty damage. You can 1-hit some guys, and the ones you don't 1-hit will be hurting bad and easy to finish off. It's just too damn fun. :)
Btw if you need a loomed arbalest, I'm selling mine. I'll undercut whatever price is on the market, just let me know. :)

Here is my build after the latest patch:
15/27 (lvl32)
9 Ath
9 WM
5 PS
160 in xbow
100 in 1h
285 wpf points unassigned (might melee hybrid with 2h or pole)
Heavy Xbow
Hunting Xbow
Steel bolts
Nordic short war sword
You can fire 2 shots without reloading and if you're under pressure just reload your hunting xbow because that just takes like 2-3 seconds. If you manage to land headshots at close range with your hunting xbow you do quite some damage.
I mainly use the heavy xbow, the hunting xbow is kinda my panic button or to scare shieldless infantry away in case your heavy is not loaded. Watch your ammo with this loadout.
As armor I use a helmet around 2 weight, body around 10 weight, rus cav boots and mail gauntlets.

Too late, you are already ruined
