I am so glad to have a fast 2-slot heraldic shield now. It enticed me to drop the slots I used to use for a Heavy Crossbow, since there is finally a heraldic 2-slot shield that offers something other than durability for the extra slot (speed and low weight in this case). Offering more interesting uses for available slots is the most effective way to cut down on xbow spam.
I assume San was behind this, so thanks man!
EDIT-Thanks Tydeus!
P.S.-NA2 archers, enjoy shooting around my new shield. Kite/heater shields have like 5 degrees of lateral coverage against projectiles. Oh well, they look cooler than the ugly saucer shields.

Tydeus was behind this one, thank him.
What to do with the oddly colored 3 difficulty kite shields, though... (and partially steel shield if anyone still even uses that)

Blue and Purple Kite actually has a cool mesh, and now has good-ish stats. If it was just heraldic, it would be popular. Same goes for Brown Kite. Most people prefer the Heraldic stuff, so you could probably pare down the entire shield catalog to 1-slot and 2-slot versions of each mesh (all Heraldic), then leave the metal shields as the only non-heraldic options. If you really love blue and purple, buy a banner slot and make it your banner.
Steel Shield still has a purpose I guess (turtle class), since it is really hard to crush. Really no incentive to play turtle on battle/siege, but people use Steel Shield on DTV.

Reduce the difficulty requirement of the steel shield

Say that again and CAPTAINAMERICAWINTERSOLDIER will come to your house and shield bash you into the next world.
