A polearm which is on an archer's back blocks the view through the aiming reticule. Particularly if you are zoomed in, you cannot actually see your target and have to shoot blind, guessing where the target is. Can the angle of long sheathed weapons be changed so that this isn't a problem?

what is an archer's business with the polearms? stick to your bow and carry a knife like a real archer. cuz you're an archer. 8-)

Sheathing polearms is silly anyway, drop it with g.

I have a few points in Polearm. And it's hard to block with a knife.

You can change to 1st person view.

Hmm, I'll have to, but first person view creeps me out...
-
That's another reason why most polearms should not be sheathable.

The plus and minus keys on your numeric pad of the keyboard modify the camera zoom on your character. Try playing with those keys to see if it helps.

As Tears suggested try zooming out. I play as far zoomed out as I can.
If you don't mind the low damage, you can try using a red tassel spear, it's the same length of a war spear only faster and does less damage... and it doesn't appear on your back, oddly enough.
