niggas is not offensive, dont know why some ppl get butthurt. "NIGGA" is similar to saying "homie" "brotha" etc..

friends is totally different, calling someone a friend is totally offensive, racist, and ignorant.

Watch South Park, if you check the dictionary for something, it has to be true.

My city is very multicultural and I never call my colored homies "niggas". Im white, and it doesnt feel natural at all, they do however use the term nigga on me, which i dont mind, its as you said- a synonym(i think?) for homie, brother, etc.

White Friends of mine do say nigga, and they are not offended by it. I would advice tho to not call a complete stranger afro-american "nigga". They might find it offensive, but in general when you are good with em they do not take offense.

i figure that you do not socialize with them, nor have any ( real) black friends. As your answer is just some sort of thing you read up on, instead of having experience first hand.

With real i mean those that are not whiteboyized :P

It's totally right, every white guy takes it serious if you say nigga but the black ppl are more sympathetic.... Wtf happened there?!( It's not meant generally, just what I experienced MYSELF)

I actually never heard the word friend irl. Only the German translations in "Negerküsse" which I use myself though as well.

If you're curious what that means, it's what nowadays is called "Schokokuss" or smth.
