Hey there,
Just wondering if this was ever implemented.

Not in that exact way, but the turn rate once you are attacking has been reduced, according to your weapon length and maybe weight (the more the slower you turn), which acts in a similar way.
-
Cool, that's a pretty good way of doing it.
So, it makes good footwork more viable and rewarding?
i.e. Able to dodge, if timed right.?
-
Well, it is easier to dodge, but still hard to do. It was mainly added iirc to make it more difficult to do things like roflcopter stabs with pike/longspear, but you can still turn into your swings quite easily.
-
Yeah, wouldn't expect it to be easy.
Requires precise timing.
I actually managed to sidestep someone's attack, last night.
Before that, it seemed like the only viable way to dodge, was to step back out of range.
But it seemed practically impossible, before this, as people could turn their
weapon while cutting or thrusting with ease. Lolstabs are the worst.
