Hi, I want enough wpf so i can wear some medium quality armor and still be proficient. Something like 15 weight armor? But I would like to be a power thrower as best as I could. Any suggestions for builds? The weapons would be four stacks of heavy throwing axes.

The problem with pure throwers is that you have to come close to the enemy line. So you should have a good 1h skill and a maybe a shield. The shield is good against archers and horse archers.
If not, try to get high athletic level.

My previous build was 12/24 i believe. I think I'm going to go with:
18/18
6 ps, ath, pt, wm
5 shield
and split the wpf even between 1h and throwing. Axes and a knightly shield? How is throwing while using a shield? Is accuracy affected?

No, I don't think so. But it can slightly protect you from arrows coming from the front left.
Your built sounds good. You just have to avoid the red "heavy weight" message.

Accuracy no, firing speed, yes.

18/21 w 6 ps 6 pt, 7wm 7ath, 140 in throwing and about 50 in 1h. the shield will slow your throwing speed and nerf your melee damage. make up for it by picking the right time to engage, letting randomers soak up arrows, intimidating archers w the pump fake and / or hugging enemy infantry so the archers cant get a shot off on you. this is a lvl 31 build btw.

Shield does not nerf melee damage.

My build
21/15
80wpf in pole
111wpf in throwing
5 wm
5 ath
7 ps
7 pt
5 shield
I'm using brown lion heater and 3 throwing lances
You can probably adapt this to throwing axes and 1h
The only downside really is the shitty accuracy,
But your using axes so you'd have to get close anyway
And you have great melee capabilities, although with shield and 1h you may just be too slow.
Really do suggest you get some pierce damage weapon instead of axe, Jarids or lances really are the way to go

You can still grab some weapon on the ground.

Shield does not nerf melee damage.
my understanding is that using a shield reduces your melee damage from what it would be if you were just using a 1h w/ no shield.

Hi, Im also searching for some good trhowing build. What about using the throwing lance for melee wepeon is it good?
-
Throwing lance isn't that good for melee, +3 throwing lance is good though. You get 4 more swing AND stab damage (blunt&pierce) and that really changes it from being a fast-but-low-damage to fast-but-medium-damage.
I got a thrower alt using +3 throwing lance. Great fun, just remember to loot weapons before you throw all 4 lances :D
