Title: How about a free respec once a year?
Post by: Corwin on March 11, 2014, 11:06:52 am
Seriously, we had many patches that were rendering builds completely useless, which was not a problem since most of the players were playing until lvl 31 and then retired. However, I notice trend that many, many players are now grinding to the max, often reaching levels 33 and above.

I believe it's inhumane to make someone retire at lvl 34 or 35 just because you made his build impossible to play.

How about it? Each player to be granted one free respec a year? Just to compensate sometimes unpredictable patches and "balances".

Could as well distribute a voucher to everyone at their birthday which can be redeemed at any time later for a free respec and even stored if not needed now or traded on the market

Just retire.

When you grind your ass for years playing archer like me, being fucked by any other class and then want a respec for another archer build, and being told to retire, and finally have grind my ass again for years, you can just go mad.

I don't like the idea of a free respec (that's always available) but I think a free respec every 6 months (or simply 2 free respecs for every character per year) should be "okay". It should cost some gold of course (maybe 20-40% of gold total of an account, also counting heirlooms, cost increase by 0.5% per heirloom, example: got 100k gold on all chars? got 4 looms? thats at 20% base + 2% for 4 looms = 24% which is 24k cost).

Anybody who would grind 20 mill xp to figure out that they're stupid and didn't know what to spec in is an idiot, and frankly i dont think that too many of those people exist, or that you've even had this problem.

Well, you have just proven that you are an idiot, and the kind that doesn't know how to read. The reason why I am asking for this to be allowed is because of patches that often render some builds unusable.
