Title: Strat Battle Exp
Post by: MeatBunny on March 10, 2014, 10:43:43 pm
So if I'm a mercenary fighting in a battle how often do I get EXP during the battle? Also do I get gold? I didn't see this answered in the FAQ.

You get XP per minute based on the total value of the armies equipment or something, you don't get gold, you get silver (strat money) based on however much whoever hired you wants to give you. How much you ask for has little to no effect on this.

To check if you got paid you have to view your archived battles from the c-rpg.net battle

From what I remember, you can't actually tell if you've been paid now when they updated the Strategus website, other than remembering your previous balance and seeing the difference.  And then you can't tell who paid you and which battle that was actually from.

Normally zero. Most people who hire ignore this unless a note to be paid is in your application. It's not a very productive way to make money, frankly, even if you do get paid 20-50 silver. Going back and sending silver out is usually more of a hassle than it's worth.

If you want to be a "merc" in Strat, building up an army with soldiers and gear (earned by trading) and then offering THAT is really the way to go about it. Not fighting in battles and getting paid.

Or, you can merc for cRPG gold. But that's not especially common either.
