Title: Adding new types of arrows

I was wondering if it be pretty cool to add new types of arrows especially blunt tipped arrows.

I mean they would work the same way as bodkins, where they just convert the bow's cut damage into blunt. What do you guys think?

They wouldn't deal much damage to armor though, would they?

edit: Except for a knockdown as Fin said, probably. As Arrows are shot with a great force...

Holy fuck do not att knockdown arrows, theres a reason arrowstun was removed (i mean it exists but is very rare).

Blunt arrows (w/o knockdown) would be great for low PD players, but to make it so it doesn't overlap bodkins, it should have -1 damage compared to them. But the whole thing sounds silly to me, was this kind of thing used at all in the past?

Blunt-tip arrows are practice arrows. You're asking for practice arrows.

I did some research but mostly were for target practice or hunting small game.  By all means knock down would be funny, I think they would be too OP considering how fast one archer can send them down range. 

I know that practice arrows in Vanilla WB existed for sure.

@San@ I think they can make them do +0 Blunt damage so basically they just have the bows stock damage or you can also drastically lower the missile speed as well as increase the drop rate of the arrow to balance out them if a knock down arrows was ever implemented.

Fire arrows would be cool too, It's possible considering one of WSE showcase videos featured it.

I haven't played TF2 for years, but I feel like that is an item they must have added by now.

More variety of arrows and bolts would be nice, but what would make them mechanically different than the ones we have now? Blunt damage would make them feel really similar to bodkins...

Blunt arrows would be fine to add they would do a basic damage to all armor classes. Knockdown would be silly but that is a dream.

Blunt arrows
-Average damage to all armor classes.
Cut arrows-Great low armor damage,average damage to medium,Horrible for plate.
Pierce arrows-Average low armor damage,good damage to medium,average plate damage.

EDIT : As I got some free time, I'm gonna QQ as usual about Tydeus, that said that longbows/rus bows got lower missile speed than nomads bows since "they fire light or heavy arrows in the case of the longbow". Sooo; why not light arrows with low damage bonus, and heavy arrows with really good damage bonus, but lower missile speed, hum ? Everyone would be happy, no ? More diversity in arrows, and the problem of Tydeus's simulation of lighter shots would be solved too.

So, here we go :

Light arrows (or any name):

Weight : 10
Ammo : 20
Missile speed : 4 (or whatever)
Damage : 3 cut (or whatever)
Price : 5600 gold

Blunt arrows could have bonus against shield, which could add an interesting mechanic to the both archery and shield classes.
