The Order of the Holy Guard Diplomacy

    The Order of the Holy Guard has been called upon again to rid Calradia of the heretics and infidels who plague the land. Our first holy cleansing shall take place in Nova Saren where the villagers have been under the power of a blasphemer. Their cries for justice have reached the ear of the Archon and he has made it his duty to free them. Once under control it will be a safe refuge for traders of good nature. 2/28/2014

Capturing the village the peasants rejoiced as food and goods were handed out. This of course, only took place after they were baptized in the nearby spring. 2/28/2014

With the town of New Saren recovering their prosperity, The Holy Guard sought for a place to trade their new wealth. After many days of traveling and visiting other villages, Tojo had found a good trade partner. In the village of New Tilismal, the village leader, Master Boh, had come to a trade agreement that would bring them both fortune in the future. 3/10/2014

    We will be conducting a new form of Diplomacy in the upcoming strat to increase the intrigue. From henceforth anyone who enters our village for purposes other than trade shall be judged. Those who we find to be heretics or blasphemers shall be attacked and their goods repossessed and the Archon deemed "those who are just and pure in the sight of the Everlasting shall be considered friend by the Holy Guard".

Those that loiter in Nova Saren and are deemed unholy in the sight of the Everlasting shall be purged from the village.

The Holy Guard is in a trade pact with Bohmaster_TKoV

The Ancient One, Ingleram Isenzahn, was in a daze. This new land seemed much like the old one. But there were forces stirring. Men who have rejected the old gods and taken up petty, weak idols, have claimed rich land. It was time to go back to the old way of blood and iron. Anything was better than staying here in this hot Gods-forsaken desert all summer. Looking around him at the many young faces of the Nordic men gathered here, he knew many would die in the raids to come but at least they would die as men and earn a chance to feast in Valhalla.

Addressing a tavern in Nova Habba full of nordic warriors he spoke, "Our forefathers went viking for glory and riches. It's time we live by their example and I know just where to start...

PS: Not a war declaration, just showing our intent to toss a viking raid or two at you. Not looking to take the village, just looking for a fun fight. I will let yall know when we are in route and see what best times work for your side.

The Viking hordes have long ransacked the countryside with their Godless ways of violence and greed.
The knights of the Holy Guard are ready to stand against this tide of careless slaughter, and protect the innocent from its wake.

Elindor turned to his men, "After we drive these overlords from Saren, let us prepare it's defenses and be watchful of the horizon - I fear there is more violence to come..."

The peoples of Saren are now free from their oppressors, but they have informed us that many of their brethren reside in the nearby Almerra Castle, which is under the iron fist of the same vile peoples. 

The Archon speaks to the people of Saren and says, "Good people of Saren, do not fear - just as God has used us to deliver you from your oppressors here this day, He will do the same for your brethren in Almerra soon enough...."

"Go back to your abbeys, churchlings!" the Priest of Odin yelled as he charged the Holy Guards lines. Thrusting his spear low, he stabbed the first man in the belly and spun to whip the shaft into the next, abruptly his fury ended when from his shoulder to waist, a sword cleaved through. Though he and his small group of followers may have died that day, they will live on in the halls of their ancestors. From a nearby hill, Surtr, the less talkative Battle-Brother, watched. He was tempted to join the last ditch effort of the priest of Odin, but decided against it. Word must reach the others of what happened here this day. With a final glance at the village, Surtr picked up his shield and mounted his rouncey to leave, he no longer needed to watch. He knew what would happen next.

Smoke rose over the village, the smell of it reaching Surtr's nose. This was the way of most new religions. Out with the old and in with the new. Grumbling, he rode south-west back toward the heat of the desert and he would not stop til he told the Ancient One what he had seen today.

Back at the village, the altar and priest's shack burned and the new 'holy men' of Nova Saren eyed the nearby castle.

Okay, actually I'm just kidding, and if you do get warned for it (not entirely unlikely, I might add) I don't think anyone would be surprised. Maderators be mad.

Anyways, best of luck in your conquest of Almerra. If you are going to be hosting any war councils in the near future, I will be more than happy to sit in and tell you what the more effective methods of attack are.

It is true that we are generally seeking to approach Strat on our own this time around - although we are not opposed to mutually beneficial alliances.
Remnant and FCC were both good friends to us in Strat 4 at different times...but Strat 5 is a new Strat with new clans and absent of some old ones.
