Title: heavy Cav
Post by: ilikere19 on February 27, 2014, 04:08:53 am
How much would it cost approximately to go heavy cav (About 70-80k) for 1 gen? in terms of repairs? ignorant all the stuff I have to buy( horse, armor weapons etc) Purely by a repair perspective?

I see, but with your setup, do you know how much it costs you per gen? Approximately? Cause I want to sell my loom when I retire and go heavy can, about the same as you, for one entire gen.

1 loompoint (about 400-430k) could be enough. But i started to play on DTV until i reached lvl 27. After this CAV on EU1. Actually i am lvl 30 with like 2,5 M left to lvl 31. Think i lost like 150k for now. AND my build is not designed for fighting without horse.

damn, from about 1 mil (lvl 27) to about 6 mil you only lost 150K??? pretty sweet, since I was considering doing the same, going until lvl 24-27 before using the heavy cav, would be useless to use until I can use it effectively, would be a waste of money.

agreed

i had rly plenty of x3-x5 and alot of fun and also frustration. If i werent archer as main.... i would say nerf those bastards, even more these on horse :). But when the "mad" mood is gone i realize i have 10 arrows sticking in my horse, 2 headshots and like 5 bodyshots and died cuz i was just to dumb to block a overhead bardiche from Heskey with his 13 PS

So its affordable? For one gen? If i sell my loom? as the end result of this wonderful conversation disusing about how  Emile Heskey is so op, that 7.4 feet black man who missed more penalties than I missed overheads on naked peasants.

Well, for myself, i would never sell LP´s. Still have things i wanna have ( the grind is never over :) ) I am in the lucky situation that i can afford loosing money because i grind (Yes grind - not leech) alot with my alts in DTV and were one of the lucky guys last lottery.

na i mean Heskeytime http://forum.melee.org/general-discussion/i%27ve-done-it!-a-winner-is-me!/ (http://forum.melee.org/general-discussion/i%27ve-done-it!-a-winner-is-me!/)

oh and i was wrong... 15 PS!!!

You can gain gold or atleast maintain the same amount using Heavy Cavalry at 70-80k gold pretty easily if you get valour frequently. Any higher than around 100k though and you need to be on a x5 every single round and even then you still lose gold consistently (though it only averages out to about 100k gold~ a gen from when I last used full plate and cataphract + weapons)

Damn really? Make money or maintain at 70-80k? Surprised to hear that I thought I'd lose like 200k a gen if I went with that setup, getting valor isn't a big problem since heavy cav is so op and I've been lancer for a while+ with the new valor system.

Next target on horse to shoot down :)

I hope you will enjoy it and don't qq about archers too much (you can QQ at x-bows )

Only way to afford playing heavy cav, is to  jew the market place on a regular basic.... I think ive spent around 243k on upkeep the last 2 months of playing heavy cav. (Note: I only play maybe 1 hour a day or sometimes longer, but its rare)

My advise, have atleast 2 +3 items which you can juggle around with earning a little bit of gold each trade.

If not, then your bound to go bankrupt within a short time.

It sucks, but playing without armoured horses is suicide.... I fucking miss my Courser lancer, or 2h Arabian! :(

Hurrray for bodkin arrows.....

with equipment 60000 and lvl 30 (important cause you really need lot valour) im near 0 gold

but i say, just do it. If you have money problems, just make a medium 2h/pole or 1h alt char to earn it

Either get your horse on multi,
or don't take a horse, and equip your character with a mail armor instead of a plate. Do this 1/2 round, and you'll earn enough money to ride over the battlefield on your poney.
