This form of trolling has seriously been way overdone by now...

In NA2 we once had 4 guys with 'the same name' running around. The original had 2 lowercase L's in his name... was decently funny until an admin threatened to ban all the imposters.

Back when Fallen_Loki had a half-dozen imposters from BRD running around we all thought it was funny, not sure why anyone would get cranky enough to ban.

It's because one person with that name was breaking the rules and somebody posted a ban thread. They couldn't figure out which one did it so they just carpet banned everyone with a lilly_lefleur character, there were only like 3 of the 20 or so who still had one so it wasn't anything major.

(Just for shits and gigs it was Oreo/Longsword who fucked up the fun)

If it was a strat battle (see Teeth's link, compare to Tore's screenshot) then it has nothing to do with I vs l though.

Same shit happened to me on Siege: I joined a game. Selected a team, spawned as attacker and when i passed the wall - i "teleported" back to the spawnpoint. Thought - "Some laggy shit! Whatever!" and continued the same path as the first time. And here I was! Still running forward against a wall of a hut! I could hit myself, and interact as if I was a bot. No clipping or any abnormal behavior... Just another player keeps running forward :D

At one point in time there was an invasion of clones on NA2... pretty much everyone present got cloned. And it would happen on and off to different people at different times. The funny part is, if you kill the clone, the actual person 'dies' and respawns at their spawn. So you could be fighting someone, real close to the flag, and then next thing you know you teleport all the way back to attacker's spawn since someone killed your clone which was jerking off in some corner of the map. Got pretty funny at one point when there was at least one clone of everyone all at the same time. You just start seeing "Wounded by_______" and just think "Aw fuck no..." *Teleports*
